"Lilac! Get back" A familiar voice called out to me. It was that black haired boy from next door, Jameson. Of course he'd be chasing me of all people.
I turned around and faces him dead in the eyes. He looked shocked for a moment before finally speaking. "Lilac, please don't leave this village, I know you want to find your mom, but I love you" "Jameson, I don't love you I told you this a thousand times" He looked heartbroken but I didn't I care, I just turned around and walked away, hearing his quiet sobs behind me.
As I got close to the gate I noticed an odd figure arguing with the guards. He had burgundy red hair and striking blue eyes. I couldn't keep my eyes off him. He seemed so strange.
"Look we can't just let some COMPLETE stranger search our houses" The guard arguing with the boy said "But she's HERE" "We do not care, our citizens trust us we can not let you do that" "I hate humans! I hate them all!" he stormed off and I headed for the gate only to be stopped by the guard.
"Sorry Miss Lilac, I can not let anyone leave untill we are sure that man is gone" My eyes go wide. "I need to leave Sir!" "I can't let you do that, now go back to your home miss" Me, having anger issues, stomped away back to my house.
I say down at my desk and lit the candle, dipping the feather in the ink as I write in my diary

Still miss you mother, I have been searching for you for about to years no. I want to avenge you. I will kill all the shadows, maybe then I will get my true mother back. Also Jameson confessed to me again today, of course I rejected him, I don't need love in my life"
As I finished writing I noticed the sun has set. So I lay in my bed, a small sheet above me, drifting off into the world of dreams.
"Mama!"
"yes sweetie?"
"I found pretty stone"
My smaller self holds up a glowing purple orb. My mother takes it and slaps me
"It was cursed, you of ALL people should have known that"
"I'm sorry Mama"
And thus, I awoke.
