-- A lot of it was hurtful things said that cut deeper than a knife
-- Then things started getting better, and as we prepared all your stuff
-- The days started creeping by so fast we became nervous and scared and we caused quite a fuss
-- But when the day came to bring you into this world, all our nerves and fear melted away, we were so happy and couldn't wait to meet our precious baby boy
-- The moment you were born and your father held you in his arms; he cried great tears of joy
-- When I held you for the first time i held you close to my heart
-- I looked at your father and knew from neither of you could I part
-- I couldn't believe the gift i had been given
-- But then man decided that they would play God and take away the thing for which me and your dad had striven
-- Our precious baby taken, our family ripped apart
-- A mother and a father left with broken hearts
-- Right now someone else is holding you, feeding you, and rocks you to sleep at night
-- All those experiences that should be mine and your dad's by right
-- You are what keeps us going, the reason we are trying to stand tall
-- In the process losing friends who were never friends at all
-- I pray that someday you'll be back in our arms and that well win this war
-- But one can never know what plans God has in store
I just hope he gives us a chance to prove to everyone that we can be great parents.
