There he sat in the warm sun of the morning, waiting for Pèable. Alpha; forest leader, probably the strongest fox there. He stared blankly at Pèable, but in a certain way creepy. Alpha's ears perched up strait, it was the proper way to greet another fox. But his eyes, yellow, glowing beams they seemed. Beams that you would think would tear right through you.

"Morning son." He said stepping out of the strange glare. Pèable stopped but still had his eyes at his paws. Pèable had been trying to avoid Alpha.

"Morning." Pèable mumbled back before shifting his wait to go quicker the way he had been going before.

"In a rush I see." Alpha spoke with uncertainty and had returned the glare Pèable shriveled at. "May I ask to where?"

Sighing Pèable stopped again and this time faced Alpha, "Dad, I am on my way to meet Lèrana at the mountain perch. Why do you ask?" Alpha squinted his eyes then walked up to Pèable.

"I am proud of you Pèable." Alpha's glare was now in the forest. "You are somefox of great power and charm. Just like your mother." He laughed before turning to make his way to the Emerald Stone. That was where all the previous Alphas perched themselves on. There was a paw print from each fox who had once ruled these woods and protected the gem.

Pèable, still watching Alpha sighed and continued his way to the mountain perch. His girlfriend Lèrana would be waiting for him.

And in fact she was. When Pèable had reached mountain perch Lèrana was sitting staring curiously out at the arisen sun.

As Pèable watched her concentrate on the yellowy orange, bright, energy draining sun. He thought of what she was thinking. Probably, about what was the sun really? Why was it so bright? Why was it yellow? Who put it there? When was it put there? So many questions so many answers.

Lèrana soon snapped out of her studying of the bright sun and tilted her head to rest on Pèable's shoulder. He blinked thoughtfully and soon rested his head on hers. It seemed almost all morning they watched the sun and the birds fly by it, Pèable needed a break and this was it.

Sitting with his girlfriend watching the scorching hot sun and feeling it nip at their faces.
