Magical paradox

10 1 1

I don't believe in princes,

Upon white horses holding glass shoes,

The tales that have been brewed,

Are simple white outstretched lies.

For the prince with the glass,

Told me I was no good lass.

My tears went astray,

I hear the winds from far away.

The fairies rushing to lift my hair,

As though it defied gravity.

I hear the creak in the trees,

Robin Hood tugging at my sleeves.

He stole a bit of happyness,

When the thorns of suffering have pulled me to a mess.

Silvermist kicking a water drop,

So that on my forehead it may gallop,

Periwinkle trying to coat my nose,

With a little frost she has perused,

From the cloak of white draping the mountains.

The pixie dust through the rubber trees,

Caressing my face, pulling me through trances.

The unicorn's mane of different hues,

After a night of heavily showered dark black and blue.

I found my beloved amongst the evergreen prairies,

Toiling hard with a song on his lips,

A memory more than the riches of today,

The prince with the jewels-Return! For I won't be swayed.

I'd rather feel the tickle of grass and his dwarfs,

Than have my feet upon unforgiving tiles.

I'd string a thousand and one dew drops upon my weary neck,

Oh prince, your shining rubies, I forsake.
