When I left the house I had no plans as to what was going to happen afterwards. My only goal is to get as far away from that house as possible. I've been walking for a good two hours and have made it to a lonely dark road going acrossed a mountain. Eventually, I come to an opening on the side that looks over the whole town. I walk over to the guardrail and climb over to the other side, standing on the ledge. The view is beautiful up here. The light from the street lamps twinkle and I can hear dogs barking in the distance.
"Pretty isn't it?" I hear a mans voice. Startled, I lose my balance for a second and just before slipping I feel him grab around my waist. He pulls me back over the guardrail and lets go. "Guess it wasn't wise of me to say something while you were standing that close to the edge. I'm sorry, that was stupid..." He says looking down towards the ground. "It's fine, you would've been doing me a favor if I had of fell." I say looking back at him. When he hears this, he looks up at me with a sad face. He puts his hands in his pockets and kicks around a small pebble. " I come here when things get stressful. The view calms me down a little." He says with a sad smile. I take the time to examine him from head to toe. He has brown hair that covers his eyebrows, a grey t-shirt with a long sleeve red flannel over it and a pair of dark blue jeans. Even in the dark I can see his eyes glimmer and shine those baby blue eyes.
"So, why are you out here?" His question snapped me back into reality and I quickly start walking again with no set destination in mind. "Wait... Don't you wanna stay and watch the sunrise? It's definitely worth the wait." He said as he jogged to catch up with me. "Actually, I have somewhere I need to be.." I explain as I speed up a bit. "Well, maybe I could escort you? You're walking in the same direction I need to go anyway. I'd love to have the company." He says keeping up with my pace.
