Ethan's pov
I couldn't make out any words as happiness, guilt, sadness, and so much more flood over me.
"Ethan.."
I still couldn't get any words out. I dropped the cigarette off down into the depths of a sidewalk.
"Ethan.. say something" she steps closer looking beautiful in all her glory.
Without even thinking and pull her closer and whisper in her ear.
"Where have you been?"
I sounded needy, desperate, sad, angry.
I feel her shiver a bit and put my arms around her to keep her away from cold but even I knew that's not why she shivered.
"E-Ethan...I'm sorry"
"Don't be. You didn't mess this up jasmine"
I felt her eyes advert to me and I couldn't even look into them.
How do I make this better?
"I left you.."
"Because I cheated on you and beat you."
I didn't expect her to say anything back but I shocked on what she said.
" and look Where I am. I'm in your arms when I could be gone."
She was right. She didn't have to be here. But I wanted her to.
"Jasmine... I don't know what to say right now but this. I have to make this up to you."
She leans closer to me. She smells like the fresh day of spring.
"I will gladly give you a second chance"
