Haha, can you tell I had trouble coming up with a title for this one? If you've got a better suggestion, I'm all ears! I didn't get many votes no my last poll, but that's probably my fault; I didn't make it very clear that there was anything to vote for ^^' I hope I didn't take too too long to update this time. Anyway, enjoy lovelies!

I don't remember what time I woke up, and my morning routine was a blur. I wasn't even paying attention to the scenery or music as I rode to school. My mind was completely and utterly occupied by the pit of dread in my stomach. Do I really have to decide today? I was barely given any time to think about my choices... Kyoya can be so cruel! While I was pouting (Yes, I'll admit that I was just pouting and sulking), a thought struck me. Why can't just have a job like theirs? I didn't think about it at the time because I was so shocked that Kyoya suggested I perform, but it was kinda unfair for him to not consider that role. I'll have to bring that up to him...

Before I knew it, we pulled up to the school and I had to hop out of the car. I waved to Hannah and then marched into the building. Where is that megane? I trooped towards the second year classrooms, but my confidence faded in the face of so many older students. I'd never been in this part of the school before, and there were so many people, I got scared I'd get swallowed up and lost in the crowd. What's wrong with you, y/n? You've performed in front of more strangers than this before! Get it together! I took a deep breath, feeling significantly calmer after my little pep talk, and resumed my mission to find the (probably evil) host. Ugh... what class was he in again? 2A? that sounds right.

I made my way towards the classroom and began the search for the puppetmaster. But instead, my eyes fell on a mop of blonde hair. Tamaki! He oughta know where Kyoya is, right?

"Tama!"

He turned around, startled at the sound of my voice. "Princess? What are you doing here?" I felt eyes on me.

"I was looking for Kyoya, do you know where he is?" He pointed towards the back of the room. I looked over and saw the shadow lord himself, scribbling in his black book of death. Noting his position I turned back to Tamaki. "Thank you, Tama!" I hugged him and spun around to face Kyoya. On the way over, I tried to put on my serious face. He would dismiss me if I acted like I didn't care. I reached his desk and gathered my courage; as much as I don't like to admit it, Kyoya can be pretty scary. "Kyo..." That sounded weak, y/n. Try again. I cleared my throat. "Kyoya, I've decided I'd like to be a hostess," I said, determination clear in my voice.

Kyoya looked up at me, glasses flashing. Oh no... "Need I remind you, y/n, that that was not an option?" I gulped. Maybe today wasn't the best day for this...

My confidence thoroughly shaken, I braced myself to respond. "I know, but I thought it was a little rude that you didn't even consider it!" I saw him tense up. Wrong word choice. Wrong word choice! I squeezed my eyes shut and prepared for the worst.

I heard him sigh and hesitantly opened my eyes. He must've noticed my fear because when I looked back at him, he looked significantly calmer, almost like he pitied me. "I did consider it, but I did not offer it as a possibility because we don't have a strong male following and it would be difficult to build one quickly enough to warrant your services. Furthermore, many female guests may become uncomfortable in the presence of non-host males given the nature of their visits. As your popularity grows, there may be a possibility for you to be a hostess in the future, but for now, a hostess would be better suited to her own club," Kyoya explained. His voice sounded as professional as ever. He made eye contact with me and his expression softened slightly. "I know this decision is sudden, but you'll be wel-You'll be useful no matter what you choose." He... I could tell he was trying to comfort me, but I wasn't entirely sure why. It almost sounded like he was going to tell me I would be welcome, but he changed his mind... I'm probably just overthinking things.
