The Boys Get Lost (Naturally)

~Natsu's POV~

~Author's note: Of course they boys get lost. I'm not even surprised, and i'm writing this.~

We've been wandering around the forest for days! "I'm so hungry guys, i'm starving!" I groan, clutching my stomach. "Natsu it's been five minutes." Jellal sighs. "B-but!" I stutter, whining louder. "For once I have to agree with Jellal." Happy sighs, flying along with Panther Lily. "Not you too Happy! What have you all done with my best friend!" I wail, falling on my knees. 

I get scratches all over my knees, and we all decide to rest. "We don't have Wendy with us, flame brain. She's out on a misson with Romeo and Carla, so don't be getting injured." Gajeel grumbles, picking at his nails. 

"Do you think the girls are ok?" Gray whispers, leaning against a tree. "Of course! They're super strong." answers Jellal, but even he looks tense. "Well, maybe not Bunny Girl." Gajeel snickers. "What?" I screech. "Juvia isn't stong either." Jellal argues. "Levy isn't either!" booms Gray. "U-uh... Erza is super scary... so i'm not joining this." I mutter, but then I get really fired up. "But Lucy is super stong!" 

Pretty soon, all four of us are fighting, blowing up trees and lighting trees on fire. The forest shakes as yet another battle rages on... beneath us?

Muffled screams join the thundering noise and all four of us fall silent and listen. "L-levy! Please hold on!" Erza begs, just as Lucy screams. "JUVIA WATCH OUT!" and another boom shakes the forest. "They're underneath us." Gajeel whimpers. 

~Lucy's POV~

"Juvia watch out!" I wail, running towards the blue mage about to be crushed by a demon. "Star Dress Aquarius!" I yell, throwing myself in between the demon and Juvia, creating a water shield at the last second. 

Erza and a limp Levy join us seconds later as hundreds of demons pound on the shield. "I can't keep this up much longer." I groan, starting to shake. "We'll go down with a fight. I'll protect these two; you attack." Erza orders. 

"Star Dress! Cancer!"

I start to slice through the enemy ranks, but they start attacking too. I dodge and whirl, but it's not enough. Claws slice at me, and I scream in pain, but keep going. I have to save my friends, and I have faith in them that they'll be ok.

"LUCY! I'm getting Juvia and Levy out of here! Come on!" Erza orders. "No! I'll cover your retreat." I say back, slicing again. Erza quickly leaves. 

I find the strength to fight, and keep going. 

Suddenly flames fill the cavern, and I know who it is, so I flee quickly.

"Lucy!" Natsu cries, running after me. I jump into a tree and leap through the trees swiftly, thanking God that Star Dress Cancer gives me this coordination and speed. 

~Gray's POV~

We missed them! By a few seconds! Juvia and the others ran from us, like they would from monsters. We're not monsters, are we? Well, maybe Natsu is. Hah.

Now is not the time to be joking! I have to find Juvia! 

I always act like I hate her, but I really love her. She's my everything, and i'm positive i'm her everything. At least, I once was. I'm not sure about now.

"What now?" Jellal asks, sitting on the ashy ground. "We keep tracking them!" exclaims Gajeel, sniffing around for someone's scent. Levy's, I presume. 

I nod, and stand up. "We were so close." I mutter, being hard on myself mentally. "We were, but we'll just have to try harder." says Natsu, nose twitching. "Your right." I laugh nervously, worried about the girls. 

I love you Juvia. I think sadly. 

I'm almost one hundred percent sure that all the boys are thinking the same thing as me. After all, the only reason we're here is because we love the girls. If we hated them, we would have let them go. So why do they run? Are they afraid of coming back to more lies, or are they scared of the truth? We might never know at this rate.
