Laying down in bed checking twitter, Ari bust into my room asking a thousand questions. I was about to ask her how she got in, but soon came to my senses and knew my dad gave her a key.
"Are you even listening to anything I'm saying?" I could hear a hint of irritation in her voice.
"Look Ari, I'm sorry I left without telling you, but Tyler and I had a good time together last night."
"That's how I know you weren't listening to me. I asked if you left to get it in." Wiggling her eyebrows and smirking.
I grabbed my pillow and through it at her face. Since she was still standing, she stumbled and tripped over my chair that was facing my desk.
"That's what you get." I had tears in my eyes, my stomach was hurting, and I almost fell off my bed.
Ari suddenly got up and charged towards me. I quickly got off my bed only to trip over my covers and fall down.
Ari took that chance to get on me and told me that she would only get off if I told her what happened yesterday.
While I was telling Ari about everything from leaving the restaurant to seeing Daniel then Tyler talking me home, Ari couldn't keep her expressions at bay.
When I was finally done, Ari stayed silent for a couple of seconds. She was still sitting on me even after I told her.
I punched her off causing her to land on her back. She stayed on the floor still silent.
I was anticipating on what her response would be. If you know Ari, you know to always expect the unexpected with her. It has always been that way.
She was still lying on the floor and finally sat up.
"Nat seriously. Why didn't Andy and I get invited? We could've went too."
I don't know why I tried to guess her reaction because this wasn't the reaction I had in mind. I thought she would at least ask about Daniel but I guess not.
Now that I think about it, why didn't we invite them with us?
"I don't know. I guess we thought y'all wanted to be left alone to the date."
During her little rant, I got up and walked out the room. I could hear her calling my name, but I ignored her and walked downstairs.
I heard her stomping down the stairs. I'm pretty sure even the neighbors could hear her.
"Why did you completely ignore me?" She said while watching me fix her and I some breakfast.
"I'm over the conversation." I shrugged. No one wants to hear her rant about parties early in the morning.
"Okay then... How about you tell me what went down with you and Daniel."
"I already told you what happened."
"No, I mean did you get emotional or anything?"
"Actually... no I didn't. He said what he said. I said what I said. What else could I do?"
I'm honestly still heartbroken over our break up. Seeing him yesterday, brought back so much I tried to keep caged in.
I sat our plates both on table while Ari fixed two glasses of orange juice.
"You know it seems like you changed a little witching twenty-four hours." She sat my cup of orange juice on the table and sat down.
"Well seeing Daniel yesterday really hit me. I've been crying and sulking but nothing has changed, so why do should I keep crying?" I bluntly said.
"You do have a point." She looked at me and smiled,"You know I'm thankful to have you as a best friend."
I smiled at her and told her the same thing back. I really am thankful for her. She listens to what I have to say without judging me.
Soon after we were done eating breakfast, Ari left and I went back upstairs.
I checked my phone to see I had an unknown message.
Unknown: Hey this is Tyler. I hope you don't mind that I got your number from Andrew. I was wondering if you want to go to the park with me.
Park?
I hope he isn't talking about the one Daniel broke up with me at.
Me: It's fine. Which park?
I don't mind going to the park... its just that me being me will have a blast from the past and make him feel awkward.
Daniel: The one in the middle of town.
Thank you!
Me: Okay. What time?
Daniel: Well can you be there in 20
Me: Got it!
I put my phone on the charger and made my way to the bathroom. I did all my hygiene.
I walked out the bathroom and went to my dresser. I picked out Nike shorts and a plain blue shirt. I went to my closet and grabbed some flip flops.
Going back to get my phone, I unplug it. I grab my keys off my nightstand and head outside.
**********
When I got to the park, I seen Tyler in the swing looking around.Deep breathes Nat.
In.
Out.
In.
Out.I got out of the car. Tyler must have heard me because his head popped to my direction real quick.
I walked to the empty swing that was beside me.
He got up from the swing and went behind me. He gently started pushing me.
"Hey"
"Hey"
"I know this was unexpected, but I want to get to know you."
"I thought you did yesterday?"
"No I want to know the real you"
The real me? What does that even mean?
I didn't even get to finish my question when out of no where, a car quickly pulled up.
Tyler stopes pushing me. I turned around to look at him and the sight that I seen had me confused. He had shock painted on his face.
When I turned back around, a girl was getting out the car. She made her way towards us and she didn't look happy.
No Tyler. I want to know the real you.
