Chapter 5

Jared's POV
We had to wait for the doctor and nurses to check her vitals and set up her room, Jensen said he was gonna come up, and Gen said she would be here as soon as the babysitter was there. I sat and waited. They asked me questions about how I was related to her, I told them I adopted her but the systems hadn't been updated yet, they asked me other questions about her issues, and all this other medical stuff. I just want to see my baby girl. After a while a nurse came into the room.
"Family of Delanie Calaway" he asked, I stood up and walked over to him. "Is this it" he questioned.
"The others are coming later" I answered.
"Follow me, she lost a lot of blood but she should wake up in the next 24-48 hours, we are gonna try a higher dosage of her prescription for her depression, since she is a minor you are allowed to stay with her for however long needed. We will check her vitals every so often" he explains. This is a lot of information. The only thing I can do is nod my head. "I know it is a lot of information but we just need to provide the best for her."
"Thank you" I said.
We continued to the room. When we got there he opened the door to see my still little girl laying there. I cover my mouth, why her. The nurse leaves and closes the door. I grab a chair and scoot it close to her bed. It was so bland in here. I text the group chat the guys and I made with our wives. I told them the information, they all said they would be on their way, and Gen was bringing the kids. I knew it probably wasn't the best for the kids to see her, but it would have to happen. I pulled the chair closer to her bed and held her lifeless hand, please wake up baby girl. After a few minutes of me on my phone and holding onto Delanie's hand I heard a knock on the hospital door. "Come in" I said. I watched as Gen came in with Tom and Shep. Gen saw Delanie and broke down in tears, I walked over to her and hugged her.
"Mommy, Daddy what happened to sissy" Tom asked. I looked down at them and smiled.
"She got hurt, really bad, she's sleeping right now" I told the small children.
"Will she be ok" Shep asked. I nodded, we just adopted her and it warms my heart to see how much they care for her.
"Can you pick me up so I can see her" Tom asked. I nodded, and then Shep wanted to be picked up so I picked him up. They looked at Delanie. "Hey sissy, you're going to be ok, daddy said so" Tom said. I smiled.
"When you wake up, we can play with our cars and trains" Shep said. Gen smiles and lightly laughs. She comes over and gives me a side hug. I set the boys down and they sat on the couch next to the window, playing on the iPad that they brought.
"What did the doctors say" Gen asked me.
"They said that they are gonna up her antidepressants, and that she should wake up in the next 24-48 hours" I explained and she nodded. I heard another knock and walked over to the door and opened it. Jensen, Daneel, Misha, and Victoria walked in. I'm guessing they got a babysitter because the kids weren't with them.
"Hey Jar" Jensen said. I smiled.
"Hey" I said back, everyone walked in giving me and Gen hugs, I explained tot hem what happened and we all sat around and talked. It was getting dark and everyone left, leaving just me, Gen, and the kids. We sat around the room in silence, a nurse w ups come in every once in a while to check on her. It was close to the kids bed time, Gen was fixing to leave when we heard a strained voice.
    "Dad" Delanie said in a little bit over a whisper.
    I ran over to her and smiled. "Hey I'm here baby girl." She smiled weakly.
    "I'm sorry" she said tears coming out of her eyes.
    "It's ok baby, you're ok now, we don't have to talk about it now" I say. She nods. Gen walks over and smiles.
     "Hey mom" she says with a smile, her voice was coming back already.
     "Hey baby, how you feeling" Gen asked.
    "I'm ok" Delanie says with a smile. Tom and Shep run over with a big smile on their face.
    "Sissy your up, I'm so glad" Tom says with a humongous smile. Shep nods with a humongous smile. Delanie laughs.
    "Hey boys, I'm glad that I'm up too" she says with a slight laugh.
    "Can we play now" Shep asked Delanie.
    "Guys let's let her rest, she'll be home soon and you guys can play all you want" Gen says. They frown but nod and we say goodbye and they leave. I press a button on her bed that calls a nurse to come into the room.
    "You're up, that's amazing" she says with a humongous smile, Delanie nods. "Well let me get the doctor and we can talk about when you can get discharged." We nod and she walks out,  a small time later a doctor walks in.
   "Hi I'm Dr. Robins, I'm glad to see that you're up" the blonde woman says with a smile, she starts to look at everything and smiles. "Everything looks good, I'm going to keep you overnight and then you can be discharged in the morning, I'm going to prescribe you with some antidepressants and a cream that I need you to put on your cuts so you don't get scars, and then in a few weeks, we can take the stitches out." I look over to Delanie and she smiles and nods her head, understanding. The doctor leaves and I look down at my phone, it's about 8 at night.
   "You're probably tired, get some sleep" I said with a smile. She nods and I let he rest. Eventually I found a comfortable position and fall asleep.
In the Morning
   Delanie was getting discharged today, right now she was being taken out of the hospital in a wheelchair, against her will. She didn't want one cause all she did was have cuts on her arm. She was in some class then that Gen brought yesterday. I got into the car and we went home.

A/N super sorry for the short chapter and how you guys had to wait such a long ass time, anyways, don't forget to comment, share, and vote, I'll update as soon as can, but I have softball practice everyday after school from about it 3-5:30, and then I have to do my homework and eat so it's pretty hectic.
