" I'm gonna miss ya, tulip." Emery said as he tightened his hold on me. A half-hearted chuckle escaped my lips. A chuckle that soon turned into a muffled sob as buried my face in his shoulder. " Don't worry, we'll see each other soon. Please don't cry Rose." He said. I tried my best to hold in my tears, but it was no use. " You visit your grandma in spring, right? I'll wait until then if I must." I gently laughed and hugged him gently. I never wanted this moment to ever end. He was my best friend, my everything. Even though he didn't know, I loved him, more than just a friend. "Emery you ready? We really need to get going, our flight to Boston is in 3 hours. If we leave now we'll get to the airport on time." Tears form in my eyes again as I pulled him closer. "Please, dont leave, at least not now." I whispered. "As much as I want to be here with you, I should really get going. Boston is 7 hours from here." He says releasing from my grasp. "Goodbye, tulip. I'll miss you." He said giving me one last kiss on my forehead before disappearing. I watched as him and his family drive off. As much as I wanted to run after him, I didn't. I just stood there frozen.

"Rose? Rose? Are you listening to me?!" Maia, Roses best friend says waving a hand in front of her friends face, trying to get her attention. "Huh? Were you saying something?" Rose replies. Maia rolls her eyes continuing what she was saying. "As I was saying, what are your guys' plans for spring break. I now I'm going to LA with my dad and staying over there." Maia says. "I'm going to this town called Bakersfield in California, to go meet some relatives for the first time." Arli, another one of Rose and Maia's friend. "You guys are lucky. I'm staying in town." Alexis, yet another friend, says, taking a sip of his drink. " what about you, Rose?" Maia asks already knowing the answer. "You already know the answer, Maia. I'm going to Boston to visit my grandma." Rose says looking down at her plate. " And to see your boyfriend, Emeryyyyy." Maia jokingly says. "Pft. What? No... he's not my boyfriend." Rose replies turning bright red. "Well if it you happen to see your best guy friend of 5 years, tell him we said wassup." Arli says. "Uh... sure." Rose replies.
~ After school~
"As much as I would LOVE to stay and hang out with you guys, I really need to go pack. I'm sure the train to Boston leaves in a couple of hours. If I hurry to pack up, I'll make it to the train station just in time. Sorry guys." Rose says unlocking her front door. "Don't sweat it. I'm sure we can all go a couple of weeks without seeing each other. Bye Rose." Maia says hugging her friend before heading to her house. Rose enters her house and rushes to pack her suitcase. She walks down the stairs rapidly before saying goodbye to her family. "Bye mom, dad, Selena and Hayden I love you guys. I'll call you when I arrive to grandmas. I need to go like now. Bye."
