5. Long Labor

Rylees due date came and went and there was no sign of the baby or Charlie its now the end of August Charlie should be back in a few days ready for rylee to be made to go into labor by the doctors rylee was currently in the kitchen when she got an agonising pain that ripped through her like a knife she knew what it was it was her first contraction she was going into labor she waddled to get the hospital bag and her phone she called Karen -Charlie's mum and said "I've gone into labor" Karen said "I'm on my way sweetheart don't worry" and hung up rylee called Charlie who was just about to get on a plane to where he was next performing at luckily he answered "hey baby girl how's you and baby" before she could answer rylee got another contraction and hissed in pain Charlie realised "you're in labor?! I'm getting on the next flight now I'll be back in a few hours" he hung up and Charlie went running to the British airlines check in desk and exchanged his ticket for a ticket home he boarded his flight only being able to think about missing the birth of his first child meanwhile back in Charlie and rylees apartment Karen was helping rylee out to the car once rylee was in the car Karen started driving they reached the hospitals and rylee was taken to a suite she lay in the bed crying out for Charlie an hour or so later Charlie came running into the suite "it's alright princess I'm here" he helped her sit up only for her to groan in pain he rubbed her bump "Jesus it's rock solid" rylee groaned again and squeezed Charlie's hand as she felt pressure "I want to walk up and down the stairs" Charlie helped rylee out of the bed and to the stairs rylee started walking up and down them but stopped when a powerful contraction ripped through her she felt a pop then a large gush of water leave her body she gripped onto Charlie's arm as she felt the baby move down Charlie helped rylee back to the room and back onto the bed rylee began fighting the urge to push "Charlieeeeeee it's right there" Charlie pressed a nurses button and 30 minutes later he and rylee welcomed a son into the world
Charlie's Pov
I was about to board the plane to our next destination when I got a phone call off rylee I answered "hey baby girl how's you and our baby" she hissed in pain and something in my mind clicked she was in labor "you're in labor?! I'm getting on the next flight now I'll see you in a few hours" I ran to the British airlines check in desk and exchanged my ticket for a British one I boarded the flight and it felt like days before we landed back in the uk I got in a taxi and it felt like an eternity before we arrived at the hospital I paid the driver then ran into the hospitals maternity ward "Rylee Devries" and the receptionist answered "What relation are you to her" I answered "her boyfriend and the baby's father" the receptionist gave me rylees room number and as I ran down the corridor getting closer to rylees room I could hear her crying out for me my heart broke I ran into her suite and went to by her side "it's alright princess I'm here" she groaned in reply I rubbed her bump trying to make her feel better "Jesus it's rock solid" she groaned in reply she squeezed my hand and said "I want to walk up and down the stairs" so I helped her out of bed and to the stairs she started walking up and down but stopped when she got another contraction then all we heard was a pop sound and a large gush of water exited rylees body she held onto my arm breathing in and out heavily I helped her back to her room and back onto the bed and she said "Charlieeeeee it's right there" I pressed a nurses button and 30 minutes later I welcomed my son into the world
