"Captain!" You said in a startled voice. Your captain was Tōshirō Hitsugaya. As you can guess, you were in squad ten, third seat.
" Captain, you can't do that to people. It's not very nice." You said in a somewhat scolding tone. "Well if you would pay attention more maybe you wouldn't get scared so easily." He replied sassily. "Sorry. What did you want to tell me though?" You asked him. "Well Rangiku invited me to go to the world of the living for some 'fun in the sun'. So ....I remembered ........... water ............ ask if you .......... with me. " he said the first half normally, but mumbled the last bit to himself. A few words left unheard.
You gave him a confused look and said. "I'm sorry captain, I didn't hear what you said. Could please repeat that?" "I said, ............" he mumbled again. "Hmm, what was that." You said a hint of playfulness in your voice. You found it kind of funny when he mumbled stuff while trying to talk to you so you had a feeling of what he was trying to say. After all he was your childhood friend.
When you looked at him, you saw he had a fairly annoyed look on his face. "I said, would you like to go to the world of the living with me!" He said. "Oh, of course captain. I would love to, but why are we going?" You knew what it was you just thought it was fun to mess with him. " We're going to the beach. As I previously said, Rangiku invited me and I knew you liked the water so I thought to ask you." He looked away and told you.
------(Time skip)------
"Oh, its better than I imagined." You said while running around the beach. The sand felt soft and squishy between your toes. The wind blowing through your hair to cool you down in the hot temperature. The smell of salt water and ........... Rangiku? You were too busy running around with your thoughts clouding your mind that you didn't realize you were about to run into Rangiku. By the time you realized that, it was too late. You collied with her boobs in your face. You both fell to the ground with the sand partially cushioning your contact with the ground.
"I'm so sorry lieutenant. I was admiring the beach's sand, wind, and ......" You were cut off by her laughter. You gave her a very confused look and tilted your head to the side. "What's so funny?" You asked her. "(Y/N), you don't have to give me an excuse or be so formal. We're in the same squad. I understand the world of the living is an interesting place. Don't worry, there's no need to apologize." She said while patting my head gently.
"Do you want to build a sand castle with me and Orihime?" She asked. "Sure, that sounds fun. I don't know how though. You can teach me, right?" You asked her. "Of course. First you have to get up though." She held out her hand for you to get up.
You grabbed her hand and she pulled you up, but you felt a sharp pain shoot through your leg and you fell. "Are you ok. Let me take a look." She got down to look at your leg and touched the part that looked a little red, your ankle. You winced at the pain that felt like you were being stabbed. "We should put some ice on that. Let's take you to the bar."
------(Time skip)------
When you got there you saw Tōshirō sitting down with his back facing the entrance. "Captain, can we have some of the left over ice." Rangiku asked. (This is after Ichigo went to get ice for Jūshirō.) "Yeah sure, just ask Orihime to give you some." He replied with an annoyed face. He turned around and saw you, his face changed to concerned.

Rangiku set you down across from Tōshirō, then left to find Orihime in the kitchen. "What happened?" He asked you in a concerned, but calm voice. "Oh. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and I ran into Rangiku, literally. I also hurt my ankle." You replied.
He chuckled. "Of course you did. You're never paying attention to anything. Unless it's a battle, but even then you never fully pay attention. You need to be more careful." He said, the end of his sentence sounding worried. "I'm sorry if I worry you, Tōshirō." You told him.
He looked up and you could see the sadness in his eyes. You looked away feeling guilty for making him worry about you. You looked back to where he was sitting but he was gone. You looked to the side and were surprised to see him sitting write next to you.
"(Y/N) I don't want you to get hurt I'm worried about you." You could hear the sadness in his voice. It made you want to cry. You threw your arms around his neck feeling like there was nothing else you could do. "I'm sorry Tōshirō. I don't want you to worry about me. I know there's nothing else I could do though." You sobbed into his neck trying to hide your tears that threatened to spill.
Then the unexpected happened. He patted your back and you backed up to see his face but were unable to. In a flash his lips were pressed to yours, soft but still noticeable. You didn't think twice before quickly responding to his kiss. You cupped his cheeks and tilted your head to deepen the kiss.
'Click.' You both broke the kiss and looked in the direction of the sound. Only to see Rangiku holding a camera as a picture was printing. Both yours and Tōshirō's faces turned a bright red. "Rangikuuuuu!" Tōshirō shouted as loud as he could. "Aw Captain, don't be so mad. Now you have it in picture form so you can look at it so you never forget it." Rangiku said before flicking the picture to you and running off in a flash. You caught the picture and examined it. Tōshirō looked at it from beside you, you both looked at each other and your faces immediately turned red.
"Well at least it's a good photo." You said sheepishly. "There's no need to keep it. There's no need to remember it." Tōshirō told you. You looked at him a little heartfelt. Then he looked at you and said. "There's no need for it because you'll never forget it." Then he leaned in a kissed you passionately.
