Walking down the alley I pulled my collar up, shielding myself from the wind. Most nights the cold didn't bother me. But with the rain steadily beating, soaking my clothes, tonight was the exception.
"You worthless piece of shit! Get out of my house!"
Remembering my father's words, from only a few hours ago, just reminded me as to why I was outside. My hatred only growing for him, making me walk farther away from that god forsaken house, and the shitty piece of flesh I called 'Dad'.
But tonight was the last straw. For seventeen years I've put up with him. Beating me black and blue, almost to the point of death on many occasion, sparing me only to laugh at the pain he caused. But that has all changed now.
One to many drinks, and several lines of coke only fueled the fury he had for me. hating me all my life for even being born, because the day I was born was the day my mother died. Growing up only to look just like the male version of her never helped. Dark black hair that I always kept short, so my father couldn't grab ahold of it, gray stormy eyes that were almost a foggy white at times, and her facial features aside from his. Finding it to be a curse all my life.
However, like I said before, tonight was the last straw. I've taken his beatings all my life, slowly becoming numb to the pain. But coming home only to find him fucking my girlfriend over the table, the girl I thought I would marry one day. I snapped, and the next thing I knew we were in an all-out brawl; punching, kicking, throwing each other against anything only to get the upper hand. Yet, when I had it, he pulled out a gun and I knew it was all over. Turning around, packing my shit, then slamming the door behind me with his famous last words were all I needed.
While I knew it would be hard, I didn't care. Being finally done with him was all I cared about now. Done with his house, his stench, his bullshit, just him. The only thing I had to take care of now was getting rid of his fucking name, and after the third of next month I wouldn't have to worry about that eithr. While my father was a arson, my mothe was a Bennet, and that's all I need left to be Done with him, becoming Tyler Bennet. And as I finally walked up to the door that I knew would make it all happen and change my life forever, I never once looked back as I stepped into the dimly lit room and slammed the door with my foot.
Five years later....
Scanning the club from the bar, I finally saw my target sitting in the VIP section with a very busty brunette, and with the way her clothes were practically sliding off I knew I needed to act fast with getting him. Eli Wellington, one of the most infamous drug dealers around and notorious for gambling his wealth down the drain, had come to us empty handed from the $18,000 he was supossed to pay us. Ginving him one week to find the money he had owed, he went MIA for three weeks. But it didn't take long for him to go back to his usual, so it was easy to find him.
Sitting my drink down and slowly getting up I felt my gun shift in the back of my jeans, it had become a habit to always carry one around since I had joined the gang five years ago, but some nights I was more aware of it than others. Tonight was one of those nights. Finally walking over to Eli, I found myself stopping with what I saw next.
A women walked up to Eli, and in all my life I had never seen someone as beautiful as her. However, not exactly skinny she walked like she owned the world and she knew it. In a skin tight sleeveless liquid black dress, she was showing every curve she had, from her chest all the way down to her mid-thigh leaving nothing to the imagination for all the men and women who were staring at her. Yet, even from my distance, if it wasn't her gorgeous body, it was her striking blue eyes and cascading blonde hair that had the attention. Slowly she walked up to Eli, and when I say he had the other girl thrown off of him and his attention on her in a matter of three seconds it wasn't a joke. Growing a sly grin on her face she held her hand out, which he gadly took, and off they started to a private room. Realizing my mistake, I ran after them, catching a glimpse of her blonde hair as she closed the door behind her.
Once I finally got to the door I listened in from the other side. Yet, with how loud the music was in the club, I couldn't hear a thing. Knowing I needed to act, I opened the door then froze once again at the sight I saw.
Laying in the floor, surrounded in a growing puddle of blood, was Eli. And standing over him, with a gun now pointed at me, was the girl from before.
