Prologue

~Shinpi's Prologue/Flashback~

My name is Shinpi and I'm a demon... i'm different from most demons though.. I had the power to suck the souls out of anything living, I can control fire, I am very strong, and I have multiple other powers. A long time ago once I was born my father left my mother to take care of me alone by herself, she hated my father for what he had done and she never wanted me to see my father. My mother rarely spoke about him but when she did she would always say "Your father was the devil! He was nothing but an evil devil!" I always thought she was overreacting but not until that day.

I was walking down the street as carriages went by I smiled as the horses' hooves clopped in sync it was dark out and It started to rain, I covered myself with a hooded robe as I continued down the sidewalk when suddenly I was stopped by a tall and slender man he grabbed my arm and said "I'm sorry shinpi but it appears you'll have to come with me." I try to pull away from his grasp " Who even are you and how do you know my name??!! Why would I go somewhere with a stranger anyway??" His eye were a bright red, I stared into his eyes and then I felt dizzy.. Then everything went blank.

I woke up later on in a dark room and red glowing eyes that circled all around me I Screamed "Where am I and what's going on???" I stood up slowly and tried to look around I rubbed my eyes a little bit before I saw everyone around me they were all tall and thin with dark hair and red glowing eyes I stood there puzzled and thought to myself 'It's pitch black how am I suddenly able to see everything?.. I must be having a serious nightmare right now.

'I tried to pinch myself to wake up from this strange dream but nothing happened, I looked at my hands as they were shaking a lot, I was really nervous 'Are they going to kill me?' I shook my head and thought 'no I must not show any weaknesses I must stay strong..' I decided to gather up the courage to speak up "I demand to know where I am right now!!!" finally an unfamiliar man spoke up "this is the halfling we were looking for this whole time?" "She looks like a waste of time if you ask me" I hear another one say "Is she really the daughter of kuul'jas himself" then a elderly one yells "Silence all of you! Now Shinpi do you know why your here?" I looked around quickly "No all I know is that I was kidnapped and dragged here by some idiot"

as I said that the man from before appeared next to the elderly man and smirked "An idiot you say? I was only being nice I could've been a lot more rude but I decided against it" I rolled my eyes "Wow thanks" I said sarcastically once again the elder man raised his voice "Silence I say! Shinpi do you know the meaning of your name?" I look at him with a confused expression plastered on my face "umm my mom said it before... hmm shinpi... oh yeah she said it meant mystery I think"

He nodded "Well done Shinpi, your father who is our high king kuul'jas named you that very name because your life remained a mystery to all of us..... Including your father, till today of course it appears your mother never told you about your father?" I nodded no "I didn't even discover his name until you said it" the elder sighed "I see.. Well you shinpi are no ordinary human, your a hybrid of a demon and a human which are strangely more powerful than a full demon, your father made you this way because he knew that you'd be powerful enough to protect our dimension, from otherworldly dangers"

"but I thought us humans were weak how could I be a halfling yet be stronger than you all?" The elder smiled "Smart question, you see a demon needs to devour human souls to keep their strength up which can be a hassle to some demons, but for you it's different, your more powerful because you don't need a human to feed off of you are the human which makes you more powerful-" another demon spoke up "If you wanted you could wipe out all of the demons!" my eyes widened "How could I be that strong when I can't even open the milk jars??!!!"

the elder started laughing "Your inner demon hasn't came out fully yet, you must be patient you will go and meet your father then someone will escort you to meet your mentor" "Mentor? How do you even know if i'm a demon what if your talking to the wrong shinpi!" the elder smiles and snaps his finger and I get pinned down on the floor by two other demons the one demon raises a sword and goes to stab me through the heart I start panicking "Stop! Please Don't kill me!" the other demon slaps me and I start to feel angry my eyes glow red.. The two demon's eyes widen right before I black out once more.
