I was sitting in class. I wanted to just walk out of the classroom and go to Principal Ray's office to talk to Briana. I almost did but as I went to stand up, the door opened and Principal Ray walked in. All you could hear in the classroom was almost every student saying oooooh. Looks like Briana had told Principal Ray what she said. Principal Ray's face was rigid and you could tell he wanted to punch Mr. Peterson in the face but he kept his calm just like any other Principal would. Everyone at school loved Principal Ray, with the exception of some or basically one teacher, and maybe a few students.
"Can I talk to you in the hallway? Now?!"
"Class, turn to page 164 and answer the first ten questions on that page. The answers will be in either your notes or they will be on pages 161-163. I will be back to check your answers." After that they walked out and of the classroom and everyone was quiet. We all wanted to hear what they were saying.
"How dare you betray this school and your students. I felt like you deserved extra and instead you didn't need it and you weren't worthy of it. You can stay for the rest of this school year considering there is only a few days left but there will be no school year for you next year. You can pack your bags and leave this school for good."
"I was only trying to make a little extra cash. I never meant any harm. I mean, honestly, I love these students."
"If you love them so much then you shouldn't put your students down all the time."
"what are you talking about?"
"I had a student tell me she was told, by you, that she was incapable of going to college. In this school no one is incapable of going to college. Every student has the right to college and if every student believes they can succeed enough to go to college then they can. We do not put our students down. Especially one as bright as her. You don't even bother getting to know your students. How are you supposed to know what their strong points and weaknessess are to help them in your class? No wonder most of them are failing your class."
"Please I can't lose this job. If I lose this job then I'll lose my house and everything I own because I won't be able to afford it."
"Maybe you should have thought about that before you betrayed me, other teachers, this school, and most importantly your students."
"Please don't fire me."
"It's too late."
"I knew that student was nothing but trouble. She caused this to happen." While most of my classmates were listening, some kept telling me to ask for a pass to the bathroom or something.
"Why me?" I said to my friend Josh.
"Because you and Briana are best friends and I can barely hear them talking. Please?"
"No, I can hear them perfectly fine. I'll tell you what they are saying at lunch."
"Come on dude."
"No, dude."
"Ugh. Fine and dude don't ever say 'dude' again. you sound like an idiot."
"I was copying you because I'm not your dude. I like to be called a friend and if you want to know what they are saying then shut up. okay?"
"Sorry."
I started listening again. "How could you say that she is well behaved and respectful? She is the main problem. I think she deserves to be expelled from this school."
"The only thing she deserves is for teachers to have faith in her because it seems like she doesn't want to go to college because she is supposedly 'incapable' of it. You should know how to treat your students. Hey, here's an idea."
"What?" Mr. Peterson sounded happy. As if he was hoping Briana really could be expelled and he could stay.
"You can be expelled" Principal Ray said.
"What!" Now Mr. Peterson knew that he was never going to get his wish.
"Yes, that's right. Expelled from being a teacher at this school but good luck finding somewhere else to work because this goes on a record for you and will show up whenever you want a new job. Make the most of the last few days you have as a teacher." I was too busy listening to Principal Ray and Mr. Peterson arguing that I didn't hear my phone go off. I had gotten a text from Bri.
Bri<3: ME AND SEAN R BACK TOGETHER !!
Me: Oh. umm... Y !?
Bri<3: b/c I love him and I can tell he knows he messed up big time.
Me: That's my point... he messed up big time !! y would u take him back ??
Bri<3: b/c I love him. y cant u see that !?
Me: all I can see is that soon enough my best friend is going to get her heart broken again and I am going to have to be the one to help u out when I honestly shouldnt b/c I have told u idk how many times not to get back with him.
Bri<3: It's my life... I thought u would be happy for me but I guess not. u wanted me to smile again and I am smiling. can't u just be happy?
Me: I cant be happy when I already know what the outcome is going to be..
Bri<3: listen, I honestly dont wanna fight and I am pretty sure u dont either so can we just drop this whole conversation?
Me: Yeah I guess we can. I dont wanna be mad at my best friend and I definately dont want her mad at me.
Bri<3: ok and we have lunch next so u can tell me wher u r taking me for my birthday !! :D lol
Me: lol. yeah I will.. I promised I would say.
I was definately still mad that she was back with Sean but I just dismissed the thought and tried to be happy for her. But I swear to god if he does do anything to hurt her will punch him in the face. He hurts every girl he dates except for Courtney because thats who he truly loves and i truly love Briana but she can't see it. She will soon though. I will make sure of it. Just then the lunch bell rang and I was on my way out to tell her where I was taking her for her birthday.
