What Akasha did not know, which is going to be a surprise for her later, was that Sesshomaru had their own luxurious house built in the best spot next to the river bank. He didn't want flooding to be an issue later on during the rainy seasons. He hoped she liked it and spared no expense. His goddess would have only the best of everything. "I will bring her to our new, hopefully temporary, home this evening. Rin did say that she knew that Lady Akasha would be more than delighted to have her own, very nice, place that is a palace compared to that hovel she was currently staying in." Sesshomaru thought before his sleep took over. Which wasn't very long as he was so comfortable lying there with Akasha in his arms.

Sesshomaru opens his eyes only a couple hours later. As a full-blooded demon of his stature, he never needed much sleep. Usually he would go weeks without sleep. Until he found her, Akasha, his true mate. Yes, his mate. He finally knew why he was so infatuated with this woman. It confused him when he came to this revelation. His Inu instincts should have recognized her as his mate immediately.

"Perhaps it is because she is not from this world." He thought to himself while still holding the sleeping silver-haired goddess closely. He felt so happy and complete, feelings he rarely felt or never felt until he met her. He gazes down at her peaceful serene expression, reminding him of the first moment he saw her. She looked just as much a Goddess as she did then. To him, she is and always will be. Even if she claimed to be nothing close to a great divine creature. Since the last episode she had, Akasha now slept contently. He hoped it was the end of these strange fits that caused her anguisth and pain. Sesshomaru turns carefully, so not to wake his mate, and stares out the window where the full moon was in perfect view. The moonlight's rays shone right through onto Akasha's face, though it did not bother her since she didn't wake. The light of the moon began to reveal a marking on her forehead right in front of his eyes. The marking was that of a moon, not like his which was a red crescent, but a light baby blue full moon that disappeared when the light of the moon moved from the window. Sesshomaru stares the entire time in awe. This only added to his intruigue of her and only caused more questions about who and what she is. He would ask about it later and get an answer, if she remembered about it. He would accept her no matter what. She is his mate, after all.

Akasha was in her deep slumber for only a few more hours before slowly opening her eyes. All she could see was the molten gold of Sesshomaru's beautiful eyes. Before she could open her mouth he began bombarding her with questions. "How did you sleep? Were there nightmares? Did you dream about your memories? How do you feel? Maybe you should rest some more." He was holding her close like she would run away if he let go, so protective.

"He is so worried for me. I know he has feelings for me but he acts as if I am already his forever." Akasha thought while he was asking his worrisome questions. "Now that I think about it.....I don't think I would mind being his...forever...."

He caught the thoughtful expression and became concerned. "Akasha?"

She chuckles, "I feel just fine, my darling Lord Sesshomaru. No nightmares, though a few dreams of memories that I will tell you about soon. I feel fully rested now." Her answers to the questions caused him to let out a small sigh of relief. It made her smile at him and she turns her head slightly and closed the tiny distance between their lips. Any protest Sesshomaru had was silenced by her surprise kiss in which he returned passionately. Their kisses always felt like they made time stop making them both feel that they were the only ones in the world in those moments. Both of them knew they were meant to be together, although neither of them had attempted to discuss it. Though, this time, Sesshomaru had a plan. It was time for him to tell her.

When the kiss was over, or they had to stop themselves from going further, Sesshomaru leans his forehead onto hers while gazing into her divine light lavendar silver-speckled colored eyes. "Akasha...." He says softly and full of emotion. It made her stare back into his golden eyes curiously, the demon lord never ever showed any type of emotion other than anger and/or rage.
