A Mermaid Going In One Direction // A One Direction Fan-Fiction

 

I hid this secret for more than 5 years now.. (FLASHBACK) 5 years in the past I was with my bestfriend, Amanda. We were having a sleepover. We were on the Internet.... Suddenly, I found a website who was explaining 'How to become a mermaid in 5 easy steps.' Weird! But I'll try anyways.

"Look at what I've found" I exclaimed, showing the website to Amanda.

"Are you thinking what I think you are thinking about?" She groaned.

Is she reading my thoughts?

"Oh, c'mon! For fun!" I begged, giving her my best puppy dog face.

"No! You can do it , but I'm not doing it! We don't know if this really works! It can change your future!" She argued, shaking her head.

"C'mon, it's only jokes!" I snickered. "No! I'm not doing it!"

"Fine!" I snapped.

I started reading the instructions:

1- Be in a swimsuit.

2- Run a bath.

3- Light a candle and move it near the bath.

4- Recite the following words at 11:59pm;

Oh Great Poseidon, God of the sea, hear my dearest wish, transform me into a mermaid. Everytime when one of my body parts will touch water or a material made with water, my legs will transform into a beautiful mermaid tail. Full moons will be dangerous for me. Maybe I would also have powers. Oh Great Poseidon, may you fulfill my vow. 5- Blow the candle and get out of the bath. I did every steps. Hope it'll work. (Notice the sarcasm)

Amanda had gone home. Without knowing why I was having a terrible urge to take a bath... So, this is what I did. I went upstairs until I faced the door of the bathroom and I run myself a bath. When the bath was full, I stripped out of my clothes and threw them in a corner. I went into the bath and I closed my eyes. I suddenly felt tingles in my legs that didn't hurt but annoyed me. I opened my eyes and what I saw shocked me: My legs had disappeared leaving a beautiful orange-tanned mermaid tail about two meters long. Amanda was right…. I should not have recited this stupid formula. All because of my (too present) curiosity. I realized that I would have to make other changes.

That is why I, Abigaël Lovercart, moved from my dear city in Sydney, Australia for England. .. More precisely, the city of Wolverhampton…. All because I had become a ...
