lmao long ass chapter

It was like every other day in Derry Maine. Girls would be laughing, boys would be belching, and my brother was hurting others.

Today was a little bit different, though. It was the last day of school in Derry.

I sat in the last math class I would take for the school year. I tugged at the ends of my frizzy brown hair, trying my hardest to pay attention to the teacher.

I could not, though. Three boys sitting behind me could not zip their lips. I turned my head around, making eye contact with Bill Denbrough, a boy my brother terrorized. He looked down, stopping his part in the conversation.

I turn my head back around, looking down at the book that lay in front of me. Algebra, VOL 7. I sighed, bringing my head up to the teacher.

"Please, children. Do not forget the curfew! Have a great sum-" Mrs Greene began. However, the obnoxious bell cut her off.

I sprang out of my seat, gathering my things as quick as possible. If I was not with my brother in a minute, he would kill me.

"So there's this church full of Jews, right-" I hear, accidentally bumping Richie Tozier, since I had quick the skip in my step.

He looked at me, annoyed.

"I'm so sorry, Richie." I say, looking at him. He looks down, then back up.

"Oh, it's quite alright, hot stuff."

I grinned a bit and continued walking towards my brother.

I pull up in front of Henry, him grabbing my collar.

"What the hell, Jackie? I told you, stay away from Losers like him." Henry spat, looking at me in the eyes.

"I'm sorry, Henry." I muster. He continued talking to me for a minute, but I wasn't really listening.

Henry throws me into the lockers they were standing in front of. I grab my head, holding it tight.

"Fuck-" I begin, but then I heard Belch snickering. I turn my head up, looking to see Richie, Bill and Eddie, walking past us. They looked scared out of their minds. I turn my head down, trying not to make eye contact with the Losers.

The boys pass by and Henry begins picking up his things. I follow after him, the others behind me.

Henry grasps my arms in the same spot every day, where a dark purple bruise had formed and kept its place since last November.

He pulls me over to the "Losers' Club", releasing me.

"You know, the Barrens aren't that bad." Joked Richie. "Who doesn't love splashing around in shitty water?"

Henry clasps onto the straps of Richie's book bag, throwing him to the ground, knocking over Stanley Uris as well.

"Nice frisbee, flamer." Patrick laughs, picking up Stanley's kippah.

"Give it back!" Stanley cries, reaching out for it.

"Fucking losers!" Patrick hissed as he threw the kippah into a school bus passing by.

Belch then burped into Eddie's ear, causing Eddie to gag.

Henry turned to Bill, knocking into him. "Losers." He said under his breath.

"You s-s-suck, Bowers!" Bill says while the others are walking away. I stood there, quivering, looking around for my inhaler that somehow fell out of my backpack.

Yes, I have asthma. I got teased a lot for it. Even by Henry sometimes. Not many people knew about it. Only Greta, her friends, Henry and his goons and a few other kids knew. I peered along the grass schoolyard for a white, L-shaped object that pumped medication into me with every inhale I take.
