Deep connection

Abhi was feeling frustrated of why this was happening to him. He really want to be the first to get the antique things from the excavation site that is now under Mr Thomas supervision.

He have a deep connection towards that site.

No body would be able to understand it.

He was mentally cursing himself for having an ineffective assistant now.

He just then received a call from Mr Thomas.

Mr Thomas "Hi Abhi, I would like to meet you. When will you be free?"

Abhi was reluctant to meet him but he can't deny to meet him either.

Abhi "Maybe tomorrow afternoon. Preferably for lunch Mr Thomas."

Mr Thomas "That would be great! Will meet you at 1pm for lunch Abhi!"

Their conversation ended but Abhi's thoughts on something didn't came to a end.

The next day,
Abhi "Nice to meet you!" He greeted Mr Thomas and was surprised to look at a young girl beside him.

Mr Thomas "It's my pleasure meeting you Abhi. She is Pragya and she would like to join as your assistant."

Pragya smiles at him and he doesn't respond to her smile.

"It's a simple courtesy to smile. Why is he still looking like this?" She thought. 

Abhi "Sir, already I have enough of one assistant and now another one would make my head roll on the floor."

Pragya laughs out loud at his words while Abhi and Mr Thomas looks at her strangely.

Abhi "I feel I can't handle her Mr Thomas. It wasn't a joke that I told just now. You and I know how tough it is for us to handle fresh graduates as assistants."

Mr Thomas "Abhi, first thing foremost, I would like to say sorry for rushing to tell about this. She is really a great admirer of you. In fact, she joined me so that she can join you."

Abhi "Sir....but you are the most senior and successful in this field."

Mr Thomas have a proud smile and looked at Pragya.

Pragya "Yes you are right Mr Abhi but among the younger generation, you are the most successful archaeologist. That can't be denied. I learnt a lot from Mr Thomas and now I feel I am experienced enough to join as your assistant."

Abhi smiles and says "She knows how to speak Mr Thomas."

Mr Thomas "But in our work action speaks more than words."

Abhi nods his head as yes. Mr Thomas "I guess you will find her helpful."

Abhi "If I hire her as my assistant means I have to dismiss my current one. Because I don't want too many girls around me."

"A man who says he don't want too many girls around him! This is super unique quality!" She thought.

Mr Thomas "Alright. I can take your current assistant to work with me. And Pragya will work under you. I am actually leaving to Sahara desert for some work, and I need more assistants."

Abhi smiles and asks Pragya to send her resume to his email.

Pragya smiled happily and she felt like achieving her dream come true moment.

Later that day she thinks about the meeting with Abhi. He was being very weird when she said she is Vegetarian.

"Why does he need to give that weird look when she said she was Vegetarian?" She wonders as she steps into her house.
