Chapter 2

I walked outside of Ollivanders and my mum was standing there holding a small owl. It was black but had white around its eyes and white little specks all over its feathers. It was beautiful! "Happy birthday (y/n)! I hope you like her! She was the smallest, and in my opinion the cutest, of the bunch" she said holding the cage out towards me. I had no words. It was MINE! "Thank you" I squealed jumping into her arms. She laughed and hugged me back. When I pull away I grab the cage with my beautiful owl in it. "I think I will name her Luna" I told her "beautiful name" she said and with that we walked away towards Madam Malkins.

As I walked in I bumped into a boy that was walking out. He had platinum blonde hair and sparkling grey eyes. To be honest he was quite cute. What? I'm an eleven year old girl who just so happens to have a crush on someone they just bumped into! Nothing wrong with that!

He stood up and looked me into the eyes for a second before I spoke. " I'm so sorry about that! I didn't mean to! I wasn't looking where I was going and then I ran into you and......." I started rambling but was cut off by him chuckling. Why does everyone think everything's funny today?

"Honestly it was nothing bad. I wasn't looking where I was going. If I was I wouldn't have ran into you" he said making me sigh in relief that he wasn't going to tell me to shove it. "I'm Draco Malfoy." Be said looking straight in my eyes. He really is cute. "Oh uhhh... I'm (y/n) (l/n)" I said stumbling over my words. Wow. Now look what he's made me do. "Nice to meet you(y/n). I better get going though. I can't keep my father waiting for too long, see you at hogwarts! Bye" he said before walking out. Wow! I thought. Crush at first sight.

I walk over to the lady at the desk and she stood me on a stool to get me fitted. Once I was finished with getting my robes I walk off to go find where my mother had gone to.

I found her outside a restaurant and she sat down handing me an ice cream she had just bought. I told her about the boy I just met and she told me that she had gotten all of my school books while I was getting my robes. "We better get going before dinner time" my mother said. I know how Lassy, the house elf, gets upset when we miss dinner and don't tell her. She is very sensitive but that is why I love her.

We walked into the leaky cauldron and used the floo mechanism to get home.
Once we got home we sat in the dining room and ate the delicious meal that Lassy had cooked up. After dinner I walked up to my (f/c) bedroom and just lay down on my bed. I soon fell asleep just dreaming about the things that are gonna happen when I finally get to school.

The summer flew by quite fast after that. We occasionally went out to a close friends house and we even went to visit my aunt once, but apart from that nothing happened except for me reading all of my school books. I looked up from the book I was reading and looked at the time. 6:28. I quickly got ready for dinner and headed to the dining room. I sat down and as soon as the clocks read 6:30 the food was on the table and I was digging in.

Once I had finished dinner I ran up to my room and started packing. I had to put everything I needed into a trunk and put my books in a backpack. I had to somehow get Luna to get into her cage so that I could have everything ready. I finally managed to have everything ready to leave. I lay down and just thought about anything that came to mind. My thoughts flooded back to the boy that I met at Diagon Alley. Draco was it? My mind started to shut down and soon I was in a peaceful sleep. I couldn't wait to see what house I got sorted into.

I honestly don't know if his is good or what you call long but whatever. I hope that you enjoyed. I will be updating as soon as I come back from holidays as this chapter was to (hopefully) fill in for lost time.
