Brennan's POV
Today, we had no case so it was like a free day. Booth and I woke up very late due to late night sexual intercorse. Christine woke up quite late too, very late for her age. Henry always sleeps like a baby, since he is one. I woke up and walked into the kitchen with my Jeffersonian Institution shirt. I made myself a bowl of yogurt with some granola on the top. Just about when I finished my breakfast Christine ran out of her playroom, asking for breakfast of her own, hoping for one of the donuts Angela had brought over, and lucky for Christine, getting one. After everyone else woke up, Booth and I dropped Christine off at preschool and Hank off at daycare. Booth and I were quite early for work, so we decided to stop for some coffee quite close to my office. When we got our coffee we talked, talked about the kids, talked about the house, talked about everything, including the massive case we were on that began just this morning, I was told it was very important and to be at the lab by 11. But just as we were about to leave something caught my eye, to be specific it was a human, blonde hair, pretty face, someone that I would remember forever.
'What was she doing here' and 'OMG Booth can't know' we're just some of the thoughts my brain had processed in the last few seconds.
I quickly took Booth straight to the car by pulling his tie with me as I ran, I knew Booths whole day would be ruined if he saw her, which I could not let happen. When we got in the car he was confused, like really confused
"Bones, what was that for, why were we in such a rush? We still have 10 min to get to the lab!"
'Oh no!! What do I say, I just saw someone that you don't like and I ran away so you wouldn't see them' 'Nope, definitely not saying that'
"Um well I thought that we were running late so I took action and brang you to the car so we could go" I lied
"Oh well it's okay" Booth replied back
About 3 min later we pulled up in front of the lab, and parked, we hopped out and went inside. We were ushered through the reporters by Cam who took me and Booth to see the body, and when I saw who it was, I was shocked!
Who do you think Brennan saw at the coffee shop? Who was the body? Sorry for the cliffhanger and this book is failing so I'm sorry
