Ski Camp

HELLO LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!!

ok, I'll calm down.

I know, I know, I haven't posted anything recently but I've been busy. After our school had 3 weeks winter break, we had one week of school and let me tell you this. BORING!

The most bizarre part of it was, is that after that 1 week of school, we went off the ski camp. Basically where the whole grade goes skiing in the mountains. That was fun, I had a great group to ski with and great roommates. Although one of my friends did get sick half way through, and the last two days, so did I.

We had two chalets one for the boys and one for the girls, but since there was more boys than girls, one group of guys had to sleep over in the girls chalet. I have quite a big friend group and rooms could only contain 4 people, so my friends and I were split up into two rooms. I was on the top floor while my other friends were on a floor lower, both of us looking at the boy's chalet.

Why is that important?

My friends are weirdo's and kept looking at the guy's. The only time when they wouldn't is when the guys were changing with the curtains open. OPEN.

Oh and a few times a week, guys threw snowballs at our windows. One of my friends got really annoyed at the guys and I don't understand why. Guys will be guys, annoying and weird.

Halfway through the week it was really bad weather so we had the choice wether we wanted to ski or not with only one blue piste open. Being in an advanced racing group it would be a little boring but the girls in my group decided to go anyway while the boys stayed inside, well except our instructor, Josh. It is mandatory for him to come. The day was fun anyway, we learned how to do worm turns.

A worm turn probably sounds... absolutely crazy. But it's pretty cool. So basically, if you fall, roll onto your back and do a backwards roll onto your skis to get back up. That's one of them (But I'm pretty sure my instructor made that up) The more common one is one where you roll and get back up, a little harder to explain weirdly, but here's a video. Just skip to 45 seconds.

Not only that happened but a few of my friends got injured. They snowboard and they're beginners so one of them broke his wrist while the other one hit his head really badly. Some people say it was a concussion, some people say it was just a head bump. Either way, he got hurt.

After a hectic 3 days, legs now tired, eyes begging for more sleep, I got sick! Yay me... and still now recovering. Should be completely fine by tomorrow, just in time for school. Note my glare at my fast recovering speed.

So... yay me, school.
