It was nearly dawn. Plates, cups, and bottles of beer were scattered everywhere. His three hyungs had gone home, while two already turned in for the night to their rooms. Changsub took a last glance at the two with a smile on his face, before he went to his room. After a few seconds, the sound of a door closing softly was heard.
Silence. Finally.
In the midst of the messy living room, Sungjae lay on Joy's lap. The way she stroked his hair was lulling him to sleep, but his eyes fought the heaviness. Joy let out a giggle. "Just go to sleep already. Don't fight it, Sungjae-ah.."
"I can't help it, baby. Jeongmal yeppeoyo.." he replied, in which he earned a slap on the shoulder.
"Ah jinjja," she said. "Wae? You just woke me up with the slap. I thought you wanted me to sleep already?" a laughing Sungjae countered.
His laughter died down as he looked intently at her, still stroking his hair. This can't be real, he thought. I've only seen time stop in movies.
He closed his eyes again and his lips spread into a smile. What would I have done if I didn't know her? Fat chance, destiny! I'll always end back with her in this moment, right here. He stifled a giggle. "Wae? You're talking to yourself again, Yook." she laughed.
"Ani, I'm just happy that I can share this happiness with you." His gaze while he said this, was enough to give Joy that tingling feeling. Her cheeks felt warm and her eyes shrunk to a curve. "I can see through you, Sooyoung-ah," he said while laughing.
"Yah! Stop teasing me!" She pushed him away playfully followed by a slap to his shoulder. He sat up and caught her hand in reflex. Startled, Joy froze with her lips slightly parted. Sungjae tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear and slowly leaned in. He stopped just an inch from her face. His eyes darted back and forth from her eyes to her lips, as if asking for permission.
Joy's eyes imitated the movements of his stare. She hitched a breath and leaned in to seal the deal. Their lips never felt in sync like it did now. What started off as a sweet innocent kiss, gradually became deeper and intense. Sungjae cupped her cheek with one hand and pulled her closer with the other. Slowly, Joy felt herself shifting to a different position. The two were locked in their own little world. Before they knew it, Joy was lying on the couch, his hand under her head. Sungjae lay sideways beside her, his other hand slowly navigating from her cheeks, to her neck.
Catching their breath in between, she felt his hand glide slowly down from her arm to her waist. Joy couldn't understand what she was feeling, but she instinctively pushed his head closer to deepen the kiss; taking a fistful of his hair. With that, Sungjae came to his senses, realizing where his hand had gone. He pulled away gently. His breath hissed inward, reflecting his hesitation.
"Mianhe, baby..."
Joy was left catching her breath. "Wae?" she whispered.
He took her shoulders and sat her upright. "Not like this, baby...it's been a long day. Stay for the night. Time for bed." he said with a pat on her lap. She agreed with a nod. It was all the response he needed. And as if on cue, he picked her up and carried her to his room.

A/N:It took some time. I've been battling with myself on how I should write this book. Gonna try to keep it as realistic as possible. After all...if they have been together for a few years...let's just say they wouldn't act like innocent kids. :)
