Amanda's POV
I wake up to a ding of my phone. Who could be texting me at 6 in the morning? I pick up my phone and see who it's from.
Leo: Happy Birthday Amanda, meet me at Apple Grove at 8 A.M.
Amanda: What? Why this early?
Leo: You'll find out soon enough 😘
Amanda: Ughhhhhhh
I sigh and put my phone back down. Leo always knows how to keep a secret, although Tara never can.
Ahh, Leo. I wonder what he's planning for us. It's bound to be a surprise. That's all he's ever given to me. Being born at the same time on the same day can be both fun and exciting. I never know what's going to happen.
Getting out of bed, I notice a splash of color laying on my desk. I walk over and see a bright blue shirt with a small manilla folder on top. I pick up the manilla folder.
It reads," Have a great birthday. This is for you to wear today - Kylie". I smile as I tear open the folder and find a $20 bill inside. Kylie always knows exactly what I need.
I decide to wear some blue jean shorts with the shirt Kylie gave me. It actually looks really pretty on me. While putting my hair up in a simple ponytail, I wonder if Leo will be wearing something similar. We always seem to twin our outfits on our birthdays.
I burst out of my room and run down the stairs, right into my mom, who is making waffles.
"Happy birthday, sweetie!" she cries out and pulls me into one of her giant bear hugs. "Anything planned today?"
"Actually," I reply," I'm meeting Leo at Apple Grove at 8. Could you drop me off there?"
She thinks for a moment. "Sure, let's do it!" she replies with just as we hear the beeping of a fire alarm...
