I froze. These boys knew me. They helped me thrive in the music industry, was this my way of paying back? By lying? No. I was better than this. I didn't even need to lie to them.

So, why did I lie? The answer was simple: embarassment.

I didn't want to be their charity case. I didn't want the guys to think of me as a pitiful little girl that didn't know how to hold on to a man. Then again, these five great guys wouldn't think that way. They would be understanding and know where I was coming from.

Surely, they've gone through some terrible break-ups. Were Josh and I even broken up? Or did he just forget me?

Even so, I should tell the boys in front of me. They were more than willing to listen. If I tried to cover it up with a lie, they would know. One Direction knew me that well. So, with a sigh I decided to tell them that my ride and boyfriend forgot me. From the looks on their faces, they were pretty upset about it.

"How could he forget you? What type of boyfriend would do that?" Niall said.

"Why are you still going out with him if he practically abandoned you on the side of the road?" Zayn questioned. I shrugged. All I wanted to do was hide now. I regret telling them.

"How many times has he done this?" Harry asked. It took me a moment to remember all the times this has happened.

"Erm, more than...six...times...." I slowly told them. They all looked at me with serious faces.

"Why in the world are you still with him?" Liam asked, worry etched into his features.

"I-I don't know. He's good to me. He treats me well and always is a gent--" Louis cut me off.

"If he was so great, he wouldn't have forgotten about you!" I let Louis' words sink in. He was right, Josh always put me aside for his job. I loved that he was so enthusiastic and determined about his job, but he needed to put me in his schedule too.

"You should just forget him, Mel. A guy like him doesn't deserve such a great girl like yourself." Niall said, too serious for my liking.

"And how would I know what I deserve? Who knows, maybe I deserve someone worse than Josh.Maybe I deserve someone exactly like Josh. I'm not as great and amazing as you guys think I am. So, stop thinking that I'm better than I actually am, because I'm just going to let you down." With that I looked out the tinted windows, signalling that this conversation was over. Yet the guys kept on talking and pitching in their unwanted opinions.

"Pay attention, Mel! Open your eyes and realize that you deserve someone that can at least remember that they have a girlfriend." Zayn told me. I rolled my eyes.

"Stop exaggerating, enough is enough. I don't need to hear this, I'm fine, alright? Josh and I will discuss this and resolve our problems like we always do, and that's final." My voice was stronger and more determined than what I actually felt.

"How 'bout we stay with you for a while, just to make sure that you're alright. When you finally break up with him and know that you can handle the break up, then we'll leave you alone. Deal?" Harry suggested. The other boys nodded in agreement. I thought about it for a moment. Mentally making a list of pro's and con's. So far, there were more pro's than con's. I sighed then nodded in defeat. They weren't going to let the subject drop unless I compromised and we all knew it. They all smiled and told me that they were doing it for my own good. Zayn told the driver to change directions and suddenly, we were at my place. All of them gasped, and they had the right to. My father was a well known constructor, so of course, he made me my own house. He made it as I asked. It was a four story mansion with a wooden design. An iron gate was half a block away from the actual house itself. There were twenty rooms plus the two living rooms, library, game room, kitchen, dining room, eight bathrooms, basement, attic, and the theatre. The inside of the house had a kind of vintage decor, giving the house an old fashioned look, but at the same time a feeling of home and comfort. The foyer, kitchen, and bathrooms floors were made out of marble (so were the tubs and sinks). The dining room and game room floors were made out of polished wood. The rest had a fluffy, silky smooth, maroon carpet. Outside the house was a giant fountain. My home was featured on various magazines in a variety of countries as one of the most expensive and best looking houses. It did get lonely living in such a big house all by yourself. That's why I always invited friends over to stay the night. I smiled as a feeling of pride came over me whenever people came over.

"I knew it was big but..." Zayn trailed off.

"It didn't look this good in the..." Harry whispered not bothering to finish his statement.

"My God..." Liam gaped. More exclamations about my house were said.

"Hello? Guys, will I ever be able to show you around or do you just want to stay here all night?" I teased as I openes the door. They all scrambled in as more gasps were heard.

"Is it true you have a game room?" Harry asked, curiousity laced into his voice.

"Yup! So does whatever you read in those magazines!" I exclaimed excitedley. The tour started in the game room. We agreed that we would stay in every room for about thirty minutes until we moved to the next one.

I gave them four tours that way they wouldn't get lost if they had to go the bathroom or get a drink in the middle of the night...well any time of day. We ended up back in the theatre room watching random movies. Harry and Niall were the first to leave and go to their rooms. Soon after Liam left. It was two in the morning when Zayn decided to hit the hay as well. It was only Louis and I left. We watched comedy movies to horror movies. I looked over to Louis to see that he was already asleep. I smiled at how peaceful he looked. I went back to the movie, not even understanding it anymore. My eye lids soon felt heavy and they soon closed. The noise from the TV soon faded. Everything went completely black.
