Blue smiled happily as he hummed a sweet song to himself. It was rare that he spent time alone, but he did look forward to it each time because of the snowy forest that he was currently walking through.

His ecto-tail was glowing a faint baby blue color as he walked. Nekos like him were rare, which was why he was so busy. Constantly helping others try to find other nekos who had hidden themselves from the world out of fear and trying to help that fear go away.

As he continued his peaceful walk, he swore that he could've heard the sound of snow crunching but whenever he turned around to see what or who was making that sound, he would see no one there.

' This is getting a bit scary. I should leave and come back later.' Blue decided somewhat fearfully, turning around and was getting ready to rush back home. Until he was tackled from behind and pinned to the snow covered ground.

Blue yelped in surprise and struggled against whoever had tackled him. "... It's rare to see a Neko wandering around my forest." The person who had tackled him said quietly then turned him around so that Blue could clearly see who had attacked him.

The person was a make skeleton who wore a pale purple hoodie with a worn beige sweater underneath. His pants were slightly torn at the end. To add to his appearance, he had deep purple colored wolf ears and tail. He stared at Blue with a strange look, his eyes held curiosity about him.

"W-Who are you? Are you going to let me go? Why did you tackle me?" Blue asked quickly, he was slightly panicing. Wolf and Nekos rarely got along, if they had ever crossed paths it normally ended in a fight and one of them dying.

"Are you scared...?" The wolf asked, his voice was cold but it had a hint of concern for him. Blue decided that it would be best to answer him honestly, he didn't want to find out if something bad could happen if he lied, so he nodded but didn't say anything.

The wolf slowly got off of him, "Dust." He said quietly, allowing Blue to sit up. Blue gave the wolf a confused look, before he clarified, "You asked me what my name is. It's Dust."

Blue smiled happily and said, "I'm Blue. It's nice to meet you Dust." Dust looked around the forest for a bit before asking, "What are you doing here? I don't normally see you around this deep in the forest and you don't seem to be a hunter."

Blue tilted his head in confusion, "Hunter...? Did I wander that deep into the forest?" He asked the last part to himself. Dust decided to not continue the part about the hunters and asked, "Do you... Like this forest?"

Blue nodded happily in response "Of course!! It's always so peaceful. And it's absolutely beautiful in the winter."

The corner of Dust's mouth twitched upward, he appeared to be holding back a small smile. They sat in silence for a few moments before Blue asked, "Dust. Do you live alone? Are you lonely?"

Dust didn't respond for a few moments but gave a small nod. Blue smiled a bit, "It's decided then! I'll visit you every week, at this exact same spot this exact same time! So then you won't be so lonely anymore!"

Dust appeared to be slightly taken back but didn't object to Blue's decision. " Then I'll see you later Dust!" Blue said jumping to his feet and running back to his house in excitement, leaving Dust there in the snow.

Blue had kept his word and visited Dust every week. Dust did seem to enjoy it and so did Blue. They slowly grew closer as friends.

Now, Dust had taken Blue to a small cave that he called "Home". It was dark out and Blue had fallen asleep, cuddling closer to Dust for warmth, Blue's tail had curled around his leg.

Dust smiled to himself and watched Blue sleep. Over the months that had past by, he had grown to love the small neko. Not as friends but as something more.

Dust held the neko closer and gently placed a kiss on his forehead whispering "I love you Blue."

Seconds later Blue smiled, opening his eyes, his face covered in a blue blush. "I love you too Dust." He said lovingly and kissed Dust who was faintly blushing purple.
