Brooke's POV

"Brooke could you bring this over to Myta please"
"Why can't Liam?"
"He went skating with Ryan"

I grunted and grabbed the bag.
"Could you bring the dogs for a walk as well?" She gave me a smile but i just rolled my eyes. I got them on their leashes, which took forever, and finally left.

I rang the doorbell and barking came from inside and Bug and Jade started to freak out. Someone opened the door and I looked up and it was Zach.

"Uh is your mom home?"
"No she went skating with Ryan and your brother, and Reese"
"Uh my mom wanted me to bring this over"
"Thanks" he took the bag and walked inside and i just stood there. "You can come in" he yelled from the kitchen.
I stepped in and closed the door behind me. Zach's dog ran up to me and Bug and Jade started to mess around with them. I laughed. Zach's walked out of the kitchen and smiled.
I looked up at him "I need to take Bug and Jade for a walk if you want to join?"
He hesitated for a second "Yeah sure" he went upstairs and then came back.

Once he was ready we left. We didn't talk for awhile. It was kinda awkward.

"So uh is Lincoln High good?" I asked breaking the silence.
"It's decent, it's high school" he kinda laughed.
I nodded and it was silent again.
"Why did you move to Texas?"
"My mom got a job... and she couldn't really deny it" I shrugged.
"Why?"
"About 2 years ago she quit her job.. I was working double shifts to keep everything afloat but it was hard with school so when she got a call for a job she took it even if it meant moving across the country"
"Why did she quit her job?"
Shit things are getting serious "Um my dad died from a stroke and she kinda lost it.."
"Oh I'm sorry"
"It's fine" I shrugged and it was quiet again.

We walked to a park and sat at a bench. I wanted to ask Zach out on an actual date right there.. it was a perfect time but I'm never been the girl to ask a guy first.

"So what do you like to do?" He asked. I could tell this was as awkward for him as well.
"I like to draw.. or go to the mall with friends.. what about you?"
"I like to play soccer and sing"
I kinda laughed when he said that "you sing?"
"Yeah! Why is that funny?"
"Sorry you just don't seem to be the singing type"
He shrugged "I don't really sing in front of people anymore.."
"Why?"
He tensed up a little "uh there was this girl I would sing to all the time and something happened and I haven't really brought myself to sing to people again"
I gave him a shy smile. We sat there for awhile till I saw what time it was. We've been out for about 2 hours.
"We should probably head back home"
He looked at his phone and jumped up "oh yeah we probably should" he laughed.

We walked back and before I went up my driveway I turned and looked at Zach.

"Same time tomorrow?" I kinda regret saying that but the he smiled.
"Of course" he waved bye and walked back to his house. I walked in with a big smile on my face and went up to my room. I fell on my bed. Liam walked by and stopped by my doorway.

"MOM SOMETHINGS WRONG WITH BROOKE!" He yelled downstairs.
"What do you mean?" She yelled back up.
"SHES HAPPY... ITS KINDA SCARING ME" I threw a pillow at him
"Oh shut up"
