She sighed. She puffed her cheeks after. Then she sighed again. She was fidgeting with her fingers, feeling anxious. She felt frustrated.
1 month. It had been almost a month since he last talked to her. She had been trying to call him yet he just wouldn't pick up. They had a huge fight before but it never lasted for almost a month.
Once. He picked up her call once but maybe it was just because he was mistaken. She badly wanted to hear his voice. Yet, discovering that it was her, he just answered with a yes or no. If not, he would just be silent.
He talked to her on the phone again after that but it was just because Jimin had forced him to talk to her to congratulate her on winning Song of the Year in another award ceremony which was held in Japan.
She bit her bottom lip, thinking about last night. She immediately sent him a congratulatory message after she heard that his group had won Artist of the Year after last night's prestigious award ceremony in Hongkong.
Kamsahamnida. That was his reply to her. It was the first time he had replied in a month's time. What made it worse was him being suddenly formal meant she screwed up bigtime.
Is this how things going to end? The thought dreaded her. It broke her heart into million pieces. She could feel her eyes starting to water.
This is all your fault! She had been blaming herself for everything. If only she didn't refuse. If only she had accepted his proposal.

She brought her hands to cover her mouth from the shock of what he just did in front of her.
"Will you marry me?" his eyes were pleading. He was down on one knee. She bit her bottom lip.
He was holding the loveliest ring she had laid her eyes on. It was inside a blue velvet box. It had a beautifully cut diamond at the center.
She breathed in deeply. "You're not kidding me, right?" she asked, in case he was just playing a prank on her.
She remembered one interview his group was asked when they were still in the US. The guys were asked who was likely to get married first, all other 6 members answered, it would be him. Maybe, he's just doing this to prove that, right? She secretly wished.
He shook his head as he held one of her hands to answer her question. "Will you marry me?" he asked again. It was then she realized that he was serious. There was no way he was kidding.
She pulled his hand with her hand he was holding to make him stand up. She shook her head.
"You're the one who's kidding me now, right?" he tried to fake a laughter but she saw how the hope in his eyes instantly changed to hurt and disappointment.
She shook her head and bit her bottom lip. It felt like her bottom lip will bleed anytime soon. She was trying to suppress herself from crying.
"Please?" it sounded like he was begging. She shook her head again. One tear escaped from one of his eyes. Seeing him like that just tore her heart into million pieces.
"I'll let you think about it," he said as he closed the box, opened her palm and handed it to her. He then walked away from her, head down and shoulders slouching.
She clutched the box and drew it close to her chest. She couldn't help but tear up while looking at his figure walk away from her.

She breathed in. She knew that what she did then was what she thought was best for both of them, for him especially. He was at the peak of his career and she knew what his dreams were. She just couldn't destroy his dreams.
