Fire

Internal flame flickering,
The fire crackles like snickering.

The heat crawls up the walls,
Spreading and running down the halls.

Warming up its dusty cracks,
Eating the walls as nothing more than a snack.

Its hunger continues,
It burns at the mildew.

The fire flickers,
It continues to bicker.

The lack of house to burn is offensive,
The walls blacken and now depressive,
Well now.. isn't that impressive?
