Mara Andor doesn't think of herself as very popular, but when James Potter calls her Valerie after years of sharing classrooms, believing that is her actual name, it makes her blood boil. And so she might be the first girl — aside from Lily Evans, of course — that tells him what a complete asshole he truly is. Unfortunately for Mara, in reality it's not what she thinks of him at all. But the again; how on earth could she not fall head over heels for someone with a smile like that.

mara andor is an actual bean™️ and a loyal friend — although sometimes maybe a little know–it–all'ish — and deserves appreciation. obviously, it doesn't work out in the end because lily and james get together, but it should get very close. the readers should always root for them BUT lily evans shouldn't be portrayed as an evil, jealous bitch. lily is good-hearted and deserves just as much love as mara. so no drama between those two please, it would even be nice if they get to know each other but that's up to you ofc. oh and i'm a sucker for sad endings so well that should be included.
