These Little Red Lines have been here for awhile. Located just under sleeves hidden from the prying eyes of all passersby. Some are old, a faint white against pale skin, while others are new, a crimson red in comparison to the cream colored background.

After the passage of time do they then become old, but that is when the new ones appear again, as if they had never left in the first place. They were always hidden in the shadows, until one passerby forced them to light. Shock filled eyes of the other consumed the vision of the hider, forcing them to run.

However they couldn't hide fast enough, for the tormentors had seen, had found a new thing to use against them. Pushing, shoving, and screaming were the only things heard by a majority.

Silence was all the one could hear over the panic and terror. Yet one voice was heard amongst the unsettling feelings. The one of the other. It filled their ears with soothing words, soft promises of protection, and a beacon of hope that told that the Little Red Lines would be but distant thoughts of the past. Everything was quiet around the two that stood alone from the crowd of onlookers who looked away from them with a spiteful glance to the tormentors laughing in the silence of the calm.

Slowly confusion and fear showed in their gazes. The small group of people backed away with annoyed glares and thoughts that showed they believed they were the in the right. The rest of the ones with humanity dispersed into the building at the chime of a bell, yet the two stood there one in the embrace of the other as the tears of joy rained freely from their soul.

Time passed and The Little Red Lines faded into the creamy background, a faint white along with all the rest marring the skin at the wrist. One look at them and any stranger could tell that they were finally happy.

That the thoughts of The Little Red Lines that contrasted against pale skin had long been forgotten with the passage of time and a being that was forever by their side till death do them part.
