Jenna's POV
"Morning Amy." I say walking down stairs to the living room of the apartment.
Ever since dad died, Amy has been taking care of me since. She's the only one the was the closest to me and was an adult. All my other family members were either too far, or they have died already. I've never been been close to anyone except for my dad and Amy.
"Goodmorning Jen Jen!" She said smiling and reaching for a hug.
Today was my first day at a public school. I've been homeschooled ever since the reck. It's my junior year and I finally get to talk to people and make friends. This was really exciting for me because I haven't had any friends since elementary school. I hope I'd see some of them at the public school. Maybe they'd remember me? That would be amazing if they did, so I wouldn't have to have such an awkward first day back.
"I can see my little Jen Jen leave me! You're growing up too fast. I want you to stay with me forever. Promise me something Jenna..." She says squinting her narrow eyes.
"What is it Amy?" I said curiously.
"You will take care of me until I die." She says in a more serious tone.
"Of course I will. You've raised me for the past couple of years. You're like family to me. I'll never leave your side Amy. I love you." I smile and reach for a hug. She hugs me back, and I can feel her smile.
I leave for school after I finish eating breakfast and all that jazz. I have to start taking the bus because Amy has work a few minutes after I leave for the bus, so she can't drive me. I wait a few minutes at the outside of our apartment until the bus finally comes. I walk through the bus doors and find tons of people crowding every seat. I walk slowly and examine everyone before I find and take a seat in the back. On the other side of the bus beside me, there's this girl that looks the same age as me. She has dark brown short hair cut into a bob. It looks like she has glasses and her style is very nerdy-looking, a totally different style from my own.
She catches me staring at her and then looks immediately away. Oh...she wasn't supposed to see me staring at her. Whoops.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to stare. I'm new and just getting a good look at the people I'm going to school with. It's my first time actually since elementary school. Family problems..." I said realizing I said too much cause I had only just met the chick.
"I-It's okay. I thought you looked new." She said responding to some of the things I said.
"I'm Jenna." I said smiling at her.
She didn't look in my direction, and she never said anything for a while now. She didn't really look interested in talking to me. I decided to just accept that she doesn't want to talk right now. I faced toward the back of the seat in front of me and checked on my phone because I had nothing better to do.
Once I arrived at school, I got off the bus excitingly. I speed walked up to the entrance and opened the door. It was quite a big school. There were lockers straight to my left and right. In front of me was the cafeteria. The place looked so elegant, something I don't see often.
I got out a sticky note that I wrote onto earlier that says my locker number and combination. I could sorta see the numbers from where I was standing so I followed them until I found my number. I looked on the sticky note and put my combination in. All the note books I didn't need at the moment, I put into my locker. I was so glad I was a top locker because I'm actually a pretty tall person. Not as tall as most of the boys I've seen so far though.
Almost all the boys at this school were so hot. They had perfect hair, their eyes were dreamy, and they all had muscles...well most. I've never actually been in a serious relationship before. Because you know...I've been home schooled almost all my life. Seeing people besides Amy and my neighbors felt good even though I love Amy to death.
I walked away from my locker not paying attention to any of my surroundings.
Bam!
I could feel my nose burning. My hand was on what felt like a super muscular chest. My eyes were squinted and I probably looked so stupid right now. I opened my eyes slowly with my hand on this boy's chest still, and looked up to meet his eyes. He was absolutely gorgeous. He had blond hair, a jaw so muscular you can see the muscles just popping out of his face. He had beautiful crystal blue eyes and long eyelashes.
I realized I've been looked at how hot he is for too long and didn't see what was happening in the real world. My mind snapped back to reality and he was smirking like big time. I blushed and got my hand off his chest. What was with me and staring at people today?
"I'm so sorry...I wasn't paying attention." I said in a rush.
"It happens to all of us." He winks. "Hey, I haven't seen you around before. You new?" He asked still smirking devilishly.
"U-Um y-y-yeah." I said nervously. Wtf is this??? I never get nervous!
"What's your first period?" He says toning the smirk down a little.
"I'm not sure yet." I said more confident.
I check my bag for another sticky note that has my schedule on it. As I search, I can see him in the corner of my eye staring me down. Looking up and down my body. This made me nervous, and I was paying too much attention to him than searching in my bag I even forgot what I was searching for. I looked back up and him slowly and sheepishly smiled.
"Can't find your schedule?" He said raising his eyebrows and going into his full smirk mode again.
"Um...maybe?" I squinted my eyes.
"Follow me than." He said smirking still, but I could barely see his face anymore because he was walking fast in front of me. I followed quickly behind.
