I finally woke up but I didn't know where I was. "What's going on?" I looked around.
"You're awake." I heard a familiar voice next to me.
"Well yeah." my head was killing me.
"Are you okay?" the person who was talking sat in front of me feeling my head. I realized after a moment that it was my dad who was talking. "You don't have a fever." he took his hand away from me.
"I'm okay." I smiled.
"So can I ask you a question?" my dad had a serious face on.
"'Um, sure." I didn't know what else to say.
"How is life living with Kai?" he asked with sadness in his voice.
"Well growing up I had my two cousins, Chaw and Chyou, until they went to sleep. Then I got my two best friends, Haru and Momo. I also had Kai, he would play games with us a lot. In school I always got good grades and never got in trouble. In middle school I learned how to play the Cello and Piano. In the beginning of high school that when all this started to happen and it was hard but my friends and Kai was there with me every step of the way." I smiled. "I always dreamed about what you and mom were like. Kai never wanted to talk about you guys but I found out a lot by myself. Did you ever think of me?" I couldn't stop smiling.
"I'm glad that you've had such a fun time. Everyday I wished that I could be there for you and hold you in my arms." he smiled back at me. I hugged him and didn't ever want to let go.
"Haji you're suppose to keep watch on her not hugging her." Harchiro interrupted us.
"I'm sorry." Haji got up.
"Shut up. You're so annoying Harchiro." I complained.
"Why you little-" Harchiro rushed over to me as if he was going to hit me.
"Harchiro cool your head." Haji grabbed Harchiro by the shoulder. "She's only fourteen." Haji gave him an evil look.
"You don't have room to be speaking Haji." Harchiro warned Haji with an evil look.
"Don't you have somewhere to be, Away from me?" Haji looked irritate.
"Do whatever you please but if you get in trouble don't whine to me." Harchiro smiled at Haji and left.
"You and Harchiro don't get along with each other, do you?" I laughed.
"He's annoying and always bothers me with his rules." Haji complained.
"To me you guys sound like brothers." I smiled.
"What we are nothing like bothers!" Haji started to yell.
"Okay, say what you like." I had a small giggle. After that everything grew silent. I really wanted to play the cello with him and tell him that he was the reason I even wanted to learn. "Can you, um, never mind." I started to ask about the cello but then just could find it in me to ask.
"What is it?" Haji looked curiously at me.
"Um I-" I was cut off by haji handing me a bow for a cello. "What?" I wondered how he knew what I wanted.
"You said you learned right?" Haji smiled.
"Yes but I'm not very good." I lied. "Could you show me how to play it?" I asked, smiling.
"Sure." Haji smiled and got behind me, showing me where to put my fingers and how to slide the bow.
"Oh, I'm doing it so bad." I frowned.
"No you're doing really good." Haji smiled showing me again. "Try to do it by yourself, okay?" He let go of my arm and watched me. I started to play really good.
"Crap I need to sound bad." I thought to myself trying to play the wrong notes.
"Kioko were you lying about not being able to play very well?" Haji caught on.
"No, I just have a great teacher" I smiled at Haji.
"Right." Haji smiled back.
"Who taught you how to play?" I asked.
"Your mother did. She taught that it would a way we could get along." Haji smiled. "But I didn't want to learn at first. After that we became close friends." Haji laughed. "She got so mad when I learned how to play the cello better then her."
"What happened to mom?" I asked putting away the Cello.
"I wasn't able to protect you or your mother." A painful look grew on Haji's face, as he looked away from me.
"It's okay dad." I hugged him.
"Thank you." He hugged me back.
"Kioko! Kioko!" I could hear someone yelling.
"Haru?" I got up. "What is he doing here?" The door slammed opened.
"Kioko!" Haru ran over to me and hugged me.
"Haru? What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I came to save you." Haru explained.
"Save me?" I didn't want to leave.
"What's the matter I came go save you and you seem all gloomy." Haru looked mad.
"I-I-I really don't know what to say." I frowned.
"Don't say anything just follow me." Haru smiled.
"It's okay, go I won't stop you." Haji put his hand on my shoulder. "But you need to hurry." He pushed me to Haru.
"But I don't want to go." Tears threatened to fall from my eyes.
"Haru carry her out of here if you have to." Haji gave him a stern look.
"Right." Haru picked me up cradle style.
"Put me down!" I yelled as Haru ran out of the room with me.
"Sorry not until we're out of here." Haru smiled. "By the way I took Kai's bike so we need to hurry back." We finally got outside.
"Okay." I tried to hold back my tears but a few slid down my cheeks.
"Why are you crying now?" Haru asked.
"Haru, he was my dad. The one person I've wanted to meet forever now and I got the chance to be with him and then you came." I wiped my tears away and looked at him.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know." Haru frowned.
"Let's get going." I got on the bike.
"Yeah, okay." Haru got on the bike and took me back to the red cross.
