FOLLOW ME
THREE CHARACTERISTIC OF A FOLLOWER:
COMFORT-DRIVEN FOLLOWER (vv. 57-58)
-Verbalized his intent to follow.
- He knew whom to follow.
-He knew how to follow.
-Excited to follow Christ.
*there is a cost when following Christ.
*I will follow You as long as it is comfortable, but if it is not comfortable to me, it is different story.
CAREER-DRIVEN FOLLOWER (vv. 59-60)
-Responsible person
-Family-oriented person
-Sensible person person
-Called by God
*Sometimes we know that we are called by God but we set aside it because of our responsibilities.
*there should be no alibi when we follow God
CRUMB-DRIVEN FOLLOWER (vv.61-62)
-Verbalized his intent to follow.
- He knew whom to follow.
-Distracted follower
*You are majoring the minor.
*Giving attention to the crumbs ("mumo") rather than the greater things.
CHILDLIKE-CHRIST DRIVEN FOLLOWER
BENEFITS OF FOLLOWING CHRIST:
1. TESTING PLATFORM OF FAITH
2. "FOLLOW ME" ROAD IS WHERE GRACE ABOUNDS.
3. FOLLOWING CAN BE DEVELOP GRADUALLY.
"Without focus on Jesus we should not allow nothing to distract us."
