Chapter 15

The next morning silverwish noticed the leaves falling when she woke up it was the start of leaf-fall. Tigerlily was pacing around the warriors den, this confused Silverwish.

"You okay there tigerlily?" Silverwish asked.

"I'm just thinking of who I should send on a border patrol" tigerlily meowed as she turned to face Silverwish but soon after saying that she began pacing again.

"Do you need some help?" Silverwish asked

"No I'm Deputy I should be able to do this myself" tigerlily snapped at Silverwish.

"Fine then" silverwish hissed back.

"Keep it down you too" meowed nightstream as he rolled onto his back.

Tigerlily hissed and left very angrily, silverwish watched her leave as soon as she left the den. Silverwish got up and stretched then proceeded to walk out of den.

Silverwish looked around the camp and saw hollypaw coming from the nursery, she headed towards the nursery to see Darkglow.

Darkglow watched Gorsekit attacking his sisters and couldn't help but laugh. Silverwish padded in and saw the kits "You had your kits" Silverwish mewed in surpise.

"Yep I did," Darkglow mewed proudly "The one attacking his sisters is Gorsekit, the jet black one with white paws is Ravenkit and lastly this one is Dovekit" Darkglow explained.

"How long has Gorsekit had his eyes open?" Silverwish asked curiously.

"Since he was born he had them open he's a fighter like his mum" Darkglow meowed happily, she removed Gorsekit from being on top of his sisters and placed him back down

Silverwish giggled at the small kits "They are cute like you Darkglow" she mewed.

Darkglow smiled and then began to lick her kits again, silverwish left the nursery and prayed to starclan that the kits would be wonderful warriors.

Tigerlily walked towards silverwish "Can you go on a border patrol with nightstream, brighteye and Skyheart?" Tigerlily asked.

"Yes I can, once I get an apology" silverwish meowed at tigerlily.

Tigerlily lowered her head "I'm sorry I snapped it's just hard organising patrols" tigerlily meowed.

"You are forgiven, now when do we leave?" Silverwish asked

"Now they are meeting by the entrance of the camp" tigerlily meowed as she pointed towards the group with her tail.

Silverwish nodded and headed towards nightstream, brighteye and Skyheart.

"Who is leading this patrol?" asked silverwish

The cats turned and looked at her "Skyheart is" answered brighteye.

"Okay, where are we going?" Silverwish asked.

"The border along the edge of springclan, so let's go" Skyheart answered as he headed out side the camp.

The others followed him out of the camp towards the springclan border, Silverwish started to think about tigerlily "she looked a way more fat then she was before" silverwish thought to herself.

Skyheart heard laughing as he moved closer towards the border it got louder and louder "can you guys here that?" He asked.

"Yeah I can hear it" Nightstream meowed.

"Me too" Silverwish mewed.

Brighteye moved towards the noise and saw two springclan warriors, she looked to see spotpaw being pinned down by springclan's strongest warrior gingerfang. In a fit of rage brighteye jumped forward and knocked down gingerflame "what are you doing in winterclan territory!" She hissed causing the others to run up and see spotpaw with blood coming from her back.

Gingerflame got up and smiled "She crossed our borders so I taught her a lesson" Gingerfang laughed.

"She is just an apprentice!" Hissed Skyheart.

Gingerflame looked at Skyheart "Apprentices need to learn lessons too, you could say I was mentoring her" he laughed.

Nightstream grabbed spotpaw and placed her on his back, she was barely conscious and he slowly took her back to camp with silverwish following to make sure spotpaw didn't fall of his back.

Gingerflame looked at them "Springclan was weak but shall be stronger once I become leader" Gingerfang meowed.

"Icestar has died and he was chosen as Deputy" meowed Dewfeather.

"Wait icestar has died" Skyheart meowed.

"Yes our leader is swiftstar" Dewfeather mewed.

Gingerfang turned away and laughed with Dewfeather following him.

Skyheart looked sad "we must tell snowstar right away!" Yelled Skyheart, him and brighteye ran back to camp to tell snowstar of the awful news.
