These mountains you're climbing,
You're were only supposed to admire.
Now you've reached the top.
So look back and see what you've done.
Look where you came from.
Look at how strong you've grown.
And know nothing is going to be the same.
This pain you feel,
It isn't real.
It's all in your head;
It's all in your head.
Take a minute,
To step back
And realize:
All you have to do
Is take something for granted,
Or do some stupid crap
For it all it be blown away
For the pain to come rushing back.
And all that was,
Is all that was,
And is no more.
No matter how hard you try,
It's on that person's forgiveness.
It doesn't matter
How badly you've messed up.
How much is lost.
All you can do
Is care for them.
And let them know
You love them.
Take a step back.
Admire those mountains.
And don't climb until they're ready.
If you keep pushing,
They're going to break.
They're going to fall.
And they're going to blame you.
You'll have nothing to say
Except "You're right"
Accept that responsibility
Responsibility.
A word that's said too much,
Taken for granted,
Used wrongly.
But it means
A mountain of things.
I've learned, dear friend,
That you can climb the same mountain
More than once.
It's not the greatest feeling
When you have have to learn
The same thing twice.
It's downright humiliating.
Learn from that mistake.
Don't repeat it.
Admit you were an idiot.
And don't climb that mountain again
