I gasp a sharp intake of breath. The three people stare at me with unidentifiable expressions. The man on the left is huge, his meaty arms fold over his chest and his dark brows furrow. The one in the middle is absolutely tiny in comparison. Her short black hair spiking in all different directions and her small features forming into a sort of smile as she takes me in. Then the third one on the right is not nearly as big as the first one but is still rather muscular with honey blonde hair. And yet, despite their differences, they are all strikingly, inhumanly beautiful with strange golden eyes. I crouch into a defensive position that a part of me is surprised by, but my new mind is somewhat use to. In response, the two guys crouch down in a defensive position but the smile on the tiny girls face just gets wider and more brilliant as she stands there.
"Jaz, Em, she won't try anything." She says with a voice like wind chimes. The honey blonde looks up at her face and after a minute of observation he straightens up, and soon after so does the big dark haired one. What makes her think I won't do anything? But all the same, I straighten up as well.
"The rain is about to start so we should hurry." The little one says taking a step towards me with a tiny outstretched hand. I take a step back. The honey blonde stifles a laugh, I jerk my head towards him.
"Sorry, Alice is always pretty forward and forgets that not everyone knows her quite as well as she knows them." The honey blonde says in a musical but manly voice. The big one shakes his head and smiles in agreement.
"I don't know what you mean." I haven't heard my own voice in my new body this whole time, and as I say the words they come out in an unfamiliar way, just as beautiful and musical as theirs if not more.
"You will. You and I are going to be great friends!" Alice says with a little jump. "Now come with us. You have so much to learn." She continues to stretch out her hand to me and I turn back to my aunts house behind me and sigh. Well I suppose this is my only option. I slowly reach mine to hers. When I feel her hand, it is just as soft and hard as mine is with a dull crystal like membrane. I look up at her beautiful face questioningly, she only smiles. Then we are off like rockets. Running with immense speed, all four of us.
"Carlisle and Esme should be back from hunting shortly. Rose, Bella, Edward, and Renesmee will still be at the house so everyone will be present." Alice says excitedly still holding my hand. I shake my head. Why am I running with these strangers? Where are they taking me and why am I just letting it happen? I feel a wave of calm fall over my body, and I decide not to question it.
We run through the trees, jumping over ledges and sometimes the big one will swing from a branch and land a few feet in front of us laughing a deep burly laugh. They are obviously like me, and she said we would be great friends. But how do they know who I am or even where they could find me?
"I just have a few questions..." I begin. They all snicker.
"You will get your chance. Soon you'll know everything. And if you choose to leave afterwards..thats always an option, but Carlisle said we shouldn't wait any longer if you are to be one of us." Alice answers in a calm but clearly excited voice as she squeezes my hand.
"One of you?" - I begin to ask.
"Shh, we are almost there. Don't worry." Alice replies.
I turn to see a break in the trees and on the other side stands an oasis. A huge white house sits in the middle of a meadow with tons of greenery of course, but also flowers and rock with a big circle driveway in the front. The house looks to be three stories tall with a large garage off to the side of the main building. The four of us slow to a walk as I take in my surroundings. It is completely cut off from all of society. I can hear the river rushing on the other side.
