I was dancing to my music not paying attention to anything but when my CD cut off I was started by clapping and I jerked around to see Deke leaning against the doorframe.
"It been a long time since I've seen you dance close up," he said and I blushed before rushing over to my stereo and turning it off.
"I thought you were still upstairs," I said.
"I finished the dishes and wanted to see what you were doing," he said coming up beside me and I watched as he hooked his phone up to the Bluetooth and pressing something on his phone before pulling me to the room and I gasped when the song started playing and he started leading me in a simple slow two-step and I smiled remembering when we used to do this all the time.
"Not bad," I pointed out after the song ended. "But it needs a bit of work."
"Says the five-time dance champion," he said and I giggled.
"Suck it up crybaby," I said before squealing when he growled and I dashed up the stairs and I made it to the living room before Deke grabbed me around my waist and hauled me into his chest.
"Do you yield?" he asked playfully.
"Never," I yelled before screaming when he tossed me on the couch and started tickling me. "NO! STOP! DEKE!"
"Do you yield?"
"I yield," I laughed as he finally stopped and I caught my breath. "No fair using my weakness against me."
"Not my fault you're ticklish everywhere," he said shrugging.
"Meanie," I pouted before looking at the clock and gasping at the time. "Good lord it's already eleven-thirty."
"Got a hot date?" Deke asked jokingly.
"No," I smiled. "But I do have a long day tomorrow."
"Really? What are you doing tomorrow?"
"I have to go shopping," I said with a sigh. "I haven't really worked since I had Zita and all my clothes are too small and Zita needs a few things."
"Can I tag along?" he asked and I looked at him confused. "What?"
"You hate going shopping," I said and he shrugged. "If you want then sure you can come."
"I'll pick you two up around nine," he said and I nodded following him to the door and he kissed my cheek before going to his bike and driving off.
After locking the door and turning all the lights off I headed upstairs and peeked into Jonas's room to see him asleep with Zita on his chest and Barbie Spy Squad playing on the TV, shaking my head I quickly and quietly set to straightening up the room a bit by setting his laptop on the desk and turning the TV off before grabbing my daughter and going to the nursery where I laid her in her crib before going to my room and slipping into my pj's can climbing into bed and snuggling my body pillow silently wishing I had something else to cuddle with.
