Carter was laying down in his bed when the door creaked, he rolled away and turned away from whoever that walked into his bedroom. He didn't want to talk to or look at the man that branded him earlier for coming out of the closet.

"Go away, I don't wish to speak to you right now." Carter murmured under his breath.

The figure walked up towards his bed and took a sit down next to him. They ran a hand over his cheek and kissed in with their soft pale pink lips.

"Oh really now?, you wish me to go away and not come here and check to see if you're alright." The voice was soft, it was sweet as candy and yet loving and caring.

When Carter turned his head, he didn't see his dad but rather his mom, he hugged her while shedding a few tears. He was in pain because his hand is burning from the branding iron that was placed on his right inner hand just not that long ago.

"Mom, he took me out back to where the cows are and placed my hand on the table and told me to stay still because what's bound to happen next, won't be so kind nor caring. I need you to understand that what you said is not a way of a life but a mere phase and phases must have consequences and you'll be getting yours very shortly. I won't have a child of my own blood become one of those abominations. God made Adam and Eve Carter not Adam and Steve." The sound of his voice was husky but loud. Carter remembered such moment because it happen a few minutes ago.

Her face was a bit gleam, she couldn't believe that the man she loved and adored so much could cause so much pain and suffering. The man she once knew was sweet and gentle, now it seems like the sweetness turned to bitterness and the gentle nature evolved to anger.

"Sweetie, your father wasn't always a bad man, he still isn't even though you might seem like it is. You don't know because you're too young to understand but now that such a thing has occurred I think it's about time you hear the story about what actually happened to your Uncle Ezra. It was about 15 years ago before you ever born, and well your father and uncle were heading down South to handle some personal issues with their family. It must've seemed important I guess but nonetheless they both went down there.
Well your father decided to stop at a local bar along the way to get something to eat and drink because they hardly had anything in the truck. When your father went inside, your uncle didn't because he told your father that he wouldn't be comfortable with the other patrons that was in the bar. Now your father tried to convince him to just come inside with me and just act natural. You know don't bring attention towards yourself and you'll be all good. Now for your uncle he wasn't going to leave the truck at all regardless, he just didn't felt alright i suppose.
Some time passed and when your father went outside to go and check on your Uncle Ezra, what he had found was that a group of men came up towards him, got him out of the car, dragging him into the street and pummeled him into the ground before stabbing him to death. Now you might be wondering why did they kill Uncle Ezra, all i can say is that no one truly knows why besides your father and he told me what occurred down there in the South. I never asked why because I couldn't bare to see the pain on his face."
She finished while looking down wiping away tears from her face.
