Chapter 1: A new school

My sister’s name is Jessica Harvergreen. She is sixteen years old, she is tall, and skinny she has long mousy brown hair. It all started in January, two years ago. When the snowflakes was falling and the rooftops looked like they were covered in icing sugar, and Jess went to school, in the cold. I think I remember the day even. She woke me up in the morning and shook me awake, gently.

“Liv. Liv, wake up. It’s school today. Don't you remember? We’re going to be late.” I could feel her soft hair tickling my cheek, and her breath on my face. Her fingers were warm on my shoulder, and I turned over and gave a little fake snore, as if I was still asleep. Jess didn’t fall for that one. She wore my slippers and I heard her footsteps. Finally, I decided it was safe to wake up, and open my eyes. Jess came back in a flash. She whipped off my covers exposing me to the cool air.

”Argh! Why did you wake me up?” I said, as if I had really been asleep. We both knew, I were pretending.

“Oh my goodness, Liv! You were asleep? I’m so sorry,” she said sarcastically.

“Come on sleepy head,  there is eggs!  I finally got up and went to the bathroom to get ready.

“Liv come down here you are going to be late for school” mom said. I finally went down stairs but it took me about 10 minutes. I didn’t have time to eat so I just took a granola bar.

When I got on the bus I just sat in the back all by myself, I didn't really have any friends I usually sat alone. People say that I am that girl who is quiet and shy, but I am that total opposite of that. Finally at school, out of the noisy, crazy school bus, I went to my locker, crowded with people at the water fountain which is really annoying because I’m always late, and when I’m late I get detention.

And once again I came late to class.

“Liv you're late” Mrs.Marshall said in a mean voice. I didn't  respond because I was too scared, so I just walked over to my desk. She took attendance then said,

“Liv you're lucky that you're not going to get detention, be late again and you're getting a 30 minute detention with me.” I was scared of her but I hesitated and said,

“Yes ma'am” I said it kinda quiet. Mrs.Marshall teaches ELA class, but I don't think she is a good teacher.

The bell finally rang it felt like the class wouldn't ever end but it did. There was this girl named hazel she seemed nice and she was really pretty. She came up to me and said

“Hi my name is hazel, what is your name?” I smiled, but it was a good one.

“My name is Liv, ” I say.

“Nice to meet you,” she said. We then walked over to the lunch room. Hazel was a good friend not the mean friend, she was nice, but what I liked about her is that she did not care, that I was that was the lame girl that sits by herself all the time.

At  lunch I usually sit with the nerds. But since hazel showed me around and showed me some friends of hers I kinda thought I was ‘lame’ for thinking that everyone was mean when they're actually really nice.
