Here comes a new day for Normani; another day of eating and conversing with her mother at the kitchen table. The aroma of her mother's eggs and bacon flowed inside the young female's nostrils as she jogged down the stairs, looking at her Mom cooking while smiling.

"Good Morning, Mom." She came closer to her mother and then kissed her cheek, standing beside her.

I graced her with a small smile before assisting her mother.

"Good Morning, beautiful." She smiled while turning off the stove as she was about to grab the pan by the handles but it was hot and Normani was cautious of her mother not getting hurt. Not even just a tiny bit.

"Hey, let me do it." She smiles, assuring her mom that she'd take care of it. She giggles and pats the ebony's back and nodded; sitting down at the table as she waited for her daughter to arrange it.

"Mom, you sure cooked my favorites today." She said while chuckling and set both of the glasses on the table before taking a seat in front of her.

"Of course! Why wouldn't I fulfill my daughter's wish ever since you haven't eaten your favorite breakfast in a while." Her mother spoke before sighing and sends a small smile towards her beautiful daughter whom reciprocated the expression.

After the Hamilton's breakfast, they were left with their stomach filled because of the savory meal that they had previously devoured. Normani ended up afterwards washing the dishes; knowing that if she refused then she'd be dead.

"I mean, Camila hasn't got to any schools, yet-" She lifted her head up, looking at her mother fixing the papers and their eyes met but her mother wasn't satisfied. "-and she doesn't even care." She shakes her head and the older woman looked away, going back to fixing the hospital papers.

"You know what, Camila, doesn't have to care," Her mother stood up for  the chair and Normani looked at her while she dried the plates. "She has a trust fund and you have something more valuable than that."

She whine, "Here we go." She says and looked away because she'll get to hear her mom's words of wisdom again.

"You have drive, you have focus," She starts and then grabs the pitcher with hot water and pour some in a teacup. "You have a scholarship to a local college." She proceeds and mixed the green tea into the steaming cup of water.

"And even though you can't afford the dorm," She sips then sets it down again and patted her daughter's hair. She laughs and continues to dry the plates and glasses. "You get to have me as your new college roommate." She emphasizes the words 'college' and 'roommate', making Normani have an idea and a lightbulb dinged above her head.

"Actually, uhh- I kind of have a cool idea about that." She stops wiping and pits the last dish in the dish rack and turned around; leaning her hip against the kitchen counter. Her mother sends her a questioning look and she parts her lips to speak. "What if we fix up Arielle's bedroom and extend the room up or something." Normani slowly walked towards the table and sat down, looking at her mother she doesn't look satisfied with the statement.

"Maybe it's time that we finally give up her stuff and maybe give it to others for good will." Her voice shakes a bit and her mom nodded but not in agreement. "-and I could give you some space-"

"I don't want space." She says and stands up before heading to the kitchen counters and opening the drawers; searching for something. "I just want you, Mani." Ms.Hamilton frowns and looked at her back and her daughter sighed; nodding slowly.

"Okay." The ebony speaks up, looking behind her mother; eyes trained once trained on the table. "I'm done for commuting and I can get my reading down."
