Moon's P.O.V.
Ow. That hurt. A lot. I sat up and looked around me. I was on a pile of... Flowers? I shrugged it off. I stood up, wiped my knees off, and let my dark blue eyes search around. A tunnel... I followed it into a purple doorway where...
"HOWDY! I'm Flower, Flower the flowey!" the flower frowned just as soon as it heard what it had said. "Dammit!" It cursed. "Um, howdy. I'm Flowey the flower. Someone aught to teach you how things go on down here, bla bla bla, here." I watched a little, glowing, purple heart emerge from my chest. "Ok, that is your soul, get the friendliness pellets, etcetera, etcetera." "Well you don't seem very happy." "Hey, lady, do you wanna know- AH!" A fireball threw it out of the way. I absorbed the heart again somehow and looked up to see a goat lady with a purple dress on. "Oh, my child, are you okay? What a terrible creature... I'm Toriel, caretaker of the Ruins. Come." She grabbed my hand and walked the me through the puzzles. Finally we reached her house and I slept in my new room. What the actual hell did I just talk to..? I slowly drifted off to sleep. I woke up to a sweet smell. Butterscotch? Cinnamon? I sat on the edge of my bed and dropped tiredly to my feet. I picked up the pie and put it in a container, then in my backpack. I jogged out of my room and to Toriel. "Hey, Toriel?" Toriel put down her book. "Oh, my child! You're awake! Did you see my present I left for you? Of course you did. I smell it on you." "Toriel, I have a question.." Her eyes filled with concern. "What is it? You can ask me anything." "H-how do I... Get home..?" her face dropped to a slight frown. "Why, this is your home now... Want to hear a snail fact?" "Uhm, sorry, but no... How do I exit the Ruins?" Toriel didn't look me in the eyes. "Go to your room... I have to do something..." She rushed off. I followed. She had gone downstairs. I followed. She told me to go to my room and walked further up the hall. I followed. She said it was my last warning, but I followed. She started to fight me. I spared her just as she had taught me. "... Go ahead... Leave.. Just.... Be safe.. And my child-" she bent down and hugged me. "-please... Don't return when you go..."
I felt my eyes tear up. Toriel walked back upstairs. I headed out of the ruins and walked through the woods. A huge stick sat in my way. I walked around it. A couple seconds later... CRRRRACK! I snapped my body around to see the stick broken in half. My heart pounded. I turned back around and bolted it. I ran and ran until I saw a gate... But it was spaced really far apart. I heard footsteps behind me. "Hey... Kid... Don'tcha know how to greet a new pal?" I spun around to see a skeleton. A short, baggy-clothed skeleton. He put his hand out. "Come on.. Shake my hand..." It seemed like I didn't have a choice, unless I could get through the spaces of the fence in time.. I made up my mind. I tucked tail and ran. Before I had fully gotten a yard from the gate, the skeleton appeared in a blue swirl in front of me. "I said shake my hand.." Yep. No choice. I reached my hand out and grabbed his. PPPPHHHHTTTTTTT. A loud fart-like sound came from his hand. "Heh. The old whoopie cushion in the hand trick. I'm Sans. Sans the Skeleton. What's your name, human?" I frowned and pulled my hand to my chest. "What's it to you?" "Hm. Good point." He made a bone pop out of thin air. "I have magic, and am curious." "Moon..." "Moon, huh? I haven't seen one of those since I was a baby bones." I smirked. "A baby bones?" "Yep. Hey, I probably should be capturing you, but I'm too lazy. And don't really care. My brother however, he's a human hunting FANATIC. Speaking of my brother, here he comes... Why don'tcha hide behind that lamp that is shaped like a tiny you?" I booked it to the lamp. "Hey Paps. How ya doin'?" "HAVE YOU FOUND A HUMAN YET, SANS?" "Nope, but look at that lamp over there. It's an interesting lamp." "I HAVE NO TIME FOR THAT, SANS!" "Well, I really like that lamp. Imma go talk to it as it talks to me too." He walked over to the lamp as I was internally screaming at Sans. "Hey, Papyrus, I found a human back here!" "REALLY? THAT LAMP IS VERY INTERESTING! NOW THERE'S A HUMAN? LAMPS MUST SPAWN HUMANS!!!" Sans shrugged. "Isn't my brother cool?" he asked me. I stood up now that he blew my cover. "This is Moon." Sans pointed his boney thumb at me. He whispered to me. "You might be boned." I whispered back. "That pun wasn't very humorous. I guess my funny bone won't work today." His smile grew wider. "You're a good kid." He turned to Papyrus. "Can we keep her?" he asked. "YES! SHE'S ADORABLE!" He had a cute anime-like face on.
(A/N: NOT MY ARTWORK!)
Papyrus picked me up and carried me into a town called Snowdin. The town was a pun itself. Papyrus was surprisingly warm for a skinless, organless skeleton. I felt sleepy. He took me to his house. Almost all the way there, there were two mailboxes. One absolutely FILLED with junk mail, while the other was neat and said 'Papyrus' on the side. "Hey Sans, could you ask your brother to let me walk?" "Yo, Paps, Moon wants to be put down." "REALLY? NYEH HEH HEH! I SHALL DO AS THE HUMAN SAYS!" He set me down and we headed into their house. It was neat, other than a single sock in the corner with a lot of sticky notes by and on it. I decided to read a few. "SANS! PICK UP YOUR SOCK!" "Ok." "DON'T SET IT BACK DOWN IN THE SAME SPOT!" "Ok." "YOU MOVED IT ONE INCH! BRING IT TO YOUR ROOM!" "Ok." "SANS IT'S BEEN A YEAR SINCE YOUR SOCK HAS BEEN HERE!" And no reply. Sans doodled something on a sticky note and put it on the sock. It said, "Ok." He walked to the couch and plopped on it, summoning a bottle of ketchup. He opened the cap and started to chug the bottle. I looked at him like he was crazy. "Hey, kid, you gotta ketchup with my trends." I groaned annoyedly. "Whhhyyyy???" "Because that's how I roll." Papyrus ran out of the kitchen with a plate of spaghetti. "MOON! YOU HAVEN'T TRIED THE GREAT PAPYRUS' SPAGHETTI!" He handed me the plate. I took a bite. My nose scrunched up at the taste. It was somehow frozen and burnt at the same time. "THAT FACE.. YOU HAVE MADE A NEW FACE IT TASTES SO GOOD! YOU ARE THE NICEST (AND ONLY) HUMAN I'VE EVER MET!" "Thank you?" I asked/said it as if it was a question.
