Teach me once again (an Eddmatt fanfic) ON HOLD

Figuring it out.

Matt wakes up, Edd shaking him. "Okay, are you gonna fess up?" Edd asks, sitting next to Matt on the couch. Matt just looks at him, confusion covering his face. "Hmm.. Here.." Edd slides a mirror to Matt, seeing if he'd freak out cause he couldn't see himself. Matt grabs the mirror, instead of screaming in dread, Matt just looks at it fascinated. Matt tilts the mirror, wondering if the reflected background would move with the action. When it didn't, Matt got his face real close to the mirror, then he stands up, clamping the mirror onto the coffee table, Matt pushing his palms down on the sides of the reflector. He looks up, then back at the mirror, seeing the same image. Edd is just so confused, and now he knows something did happen. "Okay, come here," Edd demands Matt, pointing next to himself. Matt twitches his ear to the sound, sitting next to Edd as he understood what he means. Edd grabs the mirror, holding it up to his face. He did this to see if Matt would grab it from him, like he normally would. To Edd's surprise, Matt looked even more astonished at the gadget. Matt then perked his ears down, all parts of his eyes turning a blood red. Matt thinks the mirror image of Edd was a dangerous imposter, so he scrunches up his face, hissing at the mirror, showing his long teeth. Edd turns the mirror the other way, watching as Matt's expression changed. Edd giggles a little. "Matt... Have you..." Edd's happy face turning into a sad face, finishing his sentence. "Have you.. Forgot how to speak..?" Edd looks worryingly at Matt. Tom sits next to Matt, looking concerned as well. Matt just puts one ear down, the other up, tilting his head as he does so. Edd can fill his eyes start to sting. "Matt, please don't act like this! You can't forget! You can't forget everything!! Please say you're joking!" Edd went to hug Matt, but Matt flinches, and went back a little. Edd feels a tear roll down his cheek. Matt's ears go up, noticing Edd's sad behavior, which made him sad also. Matt hugs Edd, but in an odd way. Instead of around his neck, he wraps his arms around Edd hips. Edd just balls into Matt's chest. "Hey, hey! Edd, it's okay.. He seems to remember his name... And maybe us a little..." Tom goes over to Edd, hugging him also. Edd plasters a small smile on his face, stuffing more of his face into Matt's chest. "I guess... We- we can teach him again! That'll be amazing! It's like getting the baby I always wanted!" Edd giggles a little, staring into Matt's blue and red eyes -they're blue then fade into red. Matt looks down at Edd, a little spooked as all of this was still 'new' to him.

After about eight weeks of being skittish and scared of Edd and Tom, Matt begins to get more close to them, getting used to them, he starts to act more like a puppy and a kitten than a brand new bird.
