The Foxes Eyes

"ANBU get Hanshin Hyuuga, Timaku Uchiha, Ibiki, and Anko in my office now!" The four Anbu obeyed and each brought in one member, within seconds all four were accounted for, the man gestured for the two dojutsu users to sit.
"A nice four man cell this would make, don't you agree Hanshin?" Hanshin looked confused before responding, "I would have to know the mission to be able to answer that sir." The Hokage turned to the window out his office and scowled, the man was unaware bit it would be his downfall.
"Well from what I'm told the two behind you gave great teamwork, and I've been told you and Timaku work well together." The man looked confused, "I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about sir, I met Timaku only the other day."
"And yet you worked well ripping out a child's eyes? Wouldn't you say so, Hanshin? How about you Timaku? They both started stuttering and the Hokage gestured to the two behind them and they grabbed the men in the chairs.
"Anko, Ibiki, I want you to take these scum to T&I, get them to release names of those who were with them attacking Naruto, also, I want one eye from each optical nerve and all, in a jar on my desk, asap, you can do whatever you want after that, got it?" They nodded and shunshined away to T&I, they were only the first of many, everyone that attacked Naruto would be in there, the repercussions would be torture and imprisonment or torture and death, depending on their actions.
Twenty minutes later he had the eyes on his desk and he looked at them with an evil grin, If Naruto could activate even one of them would be a great benefit if he found a way to become a ninja.
The old man brought the jar into the hospital with him and found the head doctor, the only one that was allowed to work on Naruto as the rest had tried to kill him in the past. "Doctor Benjiro, I have the transplant for Naruto Uzumaki, I would like the procedure done immediately."
"Hai Hokage-Sama, I will have it done."
The doctor put the boy under and started the procedure, it was a long process that took three hours that seemed like forever to the old Hokage, however the boy, even after the procedure needed a day of rest before he would awaken as to not disrupt the eyes, even then he was to be in a darkened room for a few hours, letting it brighten ever so slightly until he could be outside again.

Days had passed and Naruto had fully adjusted to the light, looking at his eyes in the mirror he frowned, the left eye was a light blue, lighter than the original colour, it was almost a white, his right eye was dark, it seemed as though it was a deep purple, almost black, contrasting his other. He looked over at the Hokage who was in the doorway. "Who's eyes are these?"
He asked almost afraid of the response, "The men who had tore them out, they will not bother you anymore, they have been... imprisoned."
Naruto nodded, "Thank you, for all you've done, could I go to the library now, I think I've wasted enough time healing, it's time to fix my problem, wouldn't you agree jiji?"
"I see, you are adamant about this?" Naruto nodded, "Very well take this pass to the library and they will let you into any level, but remember, you have to sir at a table and let them bring you books you ask for, now be on your way, you still have about ten months to find a solution to your problem."
Naruto smiled and took the pass as he rolled himself over to the library, ten months, surely he could achieve walking in that time.
The first two months he had looked through medical techniques, searching for ways to regrow his legs, however he quickly realized after much research that only one technique was able to do that, the Creation Rebirth technique used exclusively by tsunade senju, however upon the realization that he needed to reach the pinnacle of chakra control to reach it he had abandoned the idea as it would take too long, maybe something for later use that he could devise, however he needed more chakra control to do that so it was years down the road as far as he was concerned.
He then took another three months to learn seals as the Creation Rebirth was a seal with massive amounts of power, something not even a ninjutsu could do, clearly Fuinjutsu was his next target, he had tried to learn as fast as possible, it wasn't as fast as needed, he found no other seals, however frequent mention of the Uzumaki made him curious, something to look into afterwards, however legs were his first priority, then becoming a ninja, then the Uzumaki clan, then Hokage, that was his goals, although he was sure they would grow further.
Three months later he couldn't stand it, seals weren't going anywhere towards his legs, he was a level four seal master, and nothing, perhaps in the future, however he needed a solution now, after looking over different techniques he came across a book that had piqued his interest, it spoke of ninja in Suna, that used puppets, he had never heard of such and continued on reading, puppet masters generally had weak bodies, however some covered that weakness by going inside their puppets, and controlling puppets with a different puppet, upon seeing this he smiled and read deeper into the training required to become a puppeteer, he needed chakra wood from chakra trees that grew faster if you pushed more chakra into them, level one sealing mastery, and mildly tuned chakra control for chakra strings, after that it was just finger dexterity and figuring out how each movement of the fingers change the movement of the puppet, it was like it was made for him.
After getting the old man to give him chakra trees he grew them quickly and made a small wooden puppet, basic as it could be, it was a round head with four sticks for arms and legs, it stayed still for hours until Naruto had learned the chakra strings technique, by then he could only get the arms and legs to move, but not the head.
He had trained for weeks to get it down, after a month of practice with the puppet he had finally been able to do it with one finger as the book had stated he should be able to do, then he moved onto a bigger more detailed puppet, although he decided that this one wouldn't be his final product for his leg problem, he had two and a half months left by the time he had finished the puppet, he had made it fairly complex so he could learn the difficulty of one real puppet, the puppet had spikes that could come out of his toes, heels, knees, and elbows, the right arm had a crossbow that released at the wrist, the left had kunai and shuriken that release on the wrist and knuckles respectively, the fingertips shot needles that would be poisoned in the future, and lastly the mouth spewed smoke that would be replaced in different puppets but he needed the smoke for training so he didn't injure himself.
It took him the rest of the time he had before the academy started to get comfortable with such a complex puppet, on the plus side however he had been able to use the puppet with one hand by the end of it, quite the feat for someone with no official ninja training.
"Naruto, the academy is starting in two days, please tell me you have found a solution." Naruto nodded and the old man sighed in relief, he always wanted Naruto to go through the academy.
"So what is your solution Naruto?" Naruto smiled and responded, telling the old man of his journey of learning. "First I went through medical techniques, however only one could do what I needed, that was the Creation Rebirth,  and although I have enough chakra to quickly get the seal for it I don't have anywhere near enough control, so realizing the power of seals I delved into that, however after three months and what was basically a dead end I almost abandoned the art at level four, however I found a book detailing unique shinobi techniques from other villages, it spoke of puppetry, and how puppeteers would have weak bodies, so they would put themselves inside their puppets and control other puppets from within that one, I figured it was perfect till I could complete the Creation Rebirth." Once Naruto finished the kage had a Cheshire grin on his face, he hadn't thought of puppetry or his students technique.
'Ingenious, he could use puppetry as a crutch until he gains the chakra control needed to get his legs back, quite an intelligent child indeed.' however little did the Sandaime know, Naruto's plans for his legs were much different as he would only use the creation rebirth if he truly needed it, instead he was going to make himself a pair of legs from chakra wood and chakra metal, from there he would make chakra strings from his leg stumps  and connect the false legs to his body like a puppet, better than they were before.
