Author's note, this is one of my first stories, and it's probably not going to get that much attention. But for those who are reading it, I hope you enjoy it! :) btw this edition is after a stupid amount of editing.
I didn't want to wake up this morning, but I knew I had to. I leisurely stretched my lazy muscles, trying to wake them from what had seemed to be an eternal slumber. "My first day at my oh so fancy school awaits." I had mocked.
I'd been dreading this moment all week, this was because my family has such high standards and expectations of me, and I feel as if I have to meet them, all day, every day. This means I have no time for rudeness, no time for friends, no room for misbehaving and certainly no time for relationships.
" I better get ready." Hesitantly, I sat up, careful not to be too quick in case I'd get dizzy, and dragged myself over to the pale dresser. Even though I had organised everything the day before, somehow it was even more confusing. After meandering my hands way though the large array of both plain and colourful clothing, I finally pulled out my once neatly folded uniform and lazily slipped it on.
The unifirm consisted of a
lush, dark green, velvet skirt,
-which felt amazing on my skin- a crisp, white, collared school shirt (which I tucked under my skirt), thigh high stockings of jet black, with a thin band, coloured the same shade as the skirt, fancy black polished shoes and to finish it off, a
thin - ish green ribbon tied in a bow where a tie would normally be.I looked into the mirror with satisfaction. Now the only thing out of place was my long brown hair. It was severely knotted, so for a painful quarter hour i worked at the terrible mop on my head. While I worked, I hummed a calming tune to help ignore the pain, and it worked for the most part, and soon my silken locks were spilling over my shoulders like water.
As always, at the perfect moment, my mother called up to me, "y/n~ come down please, I have made breakfast for you my sweet!"
"Of course mother, I shall be down in a few minutes ~"
I called back, gliding down the stairs as gracefully as I could, to impress mother. This was going to be a long loooong day.
