Where did all this go wrong?
I think to myself while opening my notebook and saying my name, "Millie Brown"
and I start writing about.....
Last year 9th grade
"wow amazing."
I think to myself sarcastically. I had friends last year but somehow I don't anymore, their names were Emmy, Sophia and Maddie, they were my life basically.
I've known Emmy since 6 grade, Sophia my whole life and Maddie since middle school.
Until something went wrong between all of us. Sophia got new and better friends, not like us the "losers", well that's what she said. And then there were two of us left, Maddie & Emmy.
Emmy was my best friend, I would always share stuff with her until one day she moved on and I guess got tired of Maddie and I ,and so Emmy left us for the popular girls. I only had Maddie, my only friend and
yes you guessed it,something happened between us. She didn't like Indiana because it was too depressing and it reminded her of her mom who passed away. She wanted to move to London, and so she did,leaving me behind. She said we would still be friends after all that but I never heard of her again. I like to think she's now happy.And that's how I ended up by myself and I would try to cheer myself up I-
"RING..RING"
I close my notebook to the sound of the bell ringing and made my way to my next class. Getting my earbuds listening to
"Brooklyn Baby -Lana del Rey".
Some people pass by my side and some push me, I tried going up the blue stairs where my other classes are.
I face the floor, staring at my white converse as I make my way up the staircase until something caught my attention that made my eyes go straight to the boy with gray sweatpants with a black shirt with his dark green beanie covering his curly black hair. He was coming the opposite way from where I was coming from. He bump into me, making my binder and notebook fall along with his.
"Shit!!," I yell
"..Watch where you're go-"
I got interrupted by him , I looked up at the boy, his dark brown eyes perfectly matched his pale skin with light freckles covering his nose.
He looked at me in the eyes and I mimicked his ways and did the same. Until I looked away trying to pick up my papers that people were now stepping on.
"Finish your sentence." he said
I looked up and saw him smiling and I rolled my eyes,
"I said to watch where you're going dumbass." I said as I finished gathering my stuff and headed upstairs. As a I took a few steps I faintly heard,
"Well damn, princess."
Coming from behind me, and I cracked a smile.
