Detention

*Ava's POV*

As sofia and i walked to our first class (which has history) we kept joking about how Mr.Mendes was gonna be some old and grumpy man who will most likely be our least favorite teacher.

Our first period was a class that only sofia and i had. The rest of our friends had different classes. We finally reached our class and we were greeted by a tall muscular man. Sofia looked at me with a confused face.

"Good morning"said the man who i guessing was Mr.Mendes?

"Good morning indeed" said sofia with a smirk on her face

Once we all settled in our seats Mr.Mendes started to speak

"Good morning class, i am Mr.Mendes and I am a new history teacher here in your school. Yes i am very young but just because I'm young dont think i wont be strict." He said

I could see literally every girl in the class practically drooling over him. Im not gonna lie, i was too.

After about 20 minutes of him explaining class rules and other stuff that i wasn't paying attention to because i was to distracted looking at his sharp jawline and every muscle u could see on his bicep. He told us that we were gonna have an icebreaker to get to know each other a bit more.

We all groaned and he chuckled and as i looked up at him i see him already looking straight at me. For a few seconds we just stare at each other until he clears his throat and asks the first student to tell us about herself.

About 10 minutes later he finally asks me to tell the class about myself.

"Well I'm Ava Sanders and i love muffins and every single Harry Potter movie" I say

"Oh really ms.sanders? I myself am a huge harry potter and muffin fan.What movie is your favorite one" he smiles back.

"I'll have to say "prisoner of azkaban" is my favorite" i say a little nervously while he's just looking at me with an adorable smile on his face.

"Omg me too, looks like we have alot in common"he chuckles back at me with a huge smile on his face.

I blush and smile then suddenly i heard Emily behind me laugh and mumble "what a freaking ass kisser".

I quickly looked back at her and said "At least I'm not an attention seeking hoe". I talked back to her because Emily Matthews and I are kinda enemies because she and i used to be really close but all she wanted was a way to talk to my ex so she could be with him and break up with me.

Before Emily could even open her mouth to say something, Mr.Mendes yelled
"Girls this is NOT how we behave in my classroom. Both of you detention after school today".

We both groan and she mouths to me "this is all your fault"

After class sofia come up to me and asks me why I reacted that way.

"I don't know, I just cant stand her anymore" i groan.

"Yeah she is pretty annoying"

"I know right" i say back.

We're now heading to 2nd period and this class all of my friends are in it. So we all sit with each other and get the class over with.

Its now after school so i head to Mr.Mendes class for detention. Once i get there i see Mr.Mendes sitting in his desk. When he notices me he smiles and asks me to take a seat. I see that Emily is here already resting her head on her palm. I go ahead and sit down on the other side of the room so I'm not close to her. Once I take my seat Emily looks over to me and whispers "this is all your fault Sanders" with an i hate you look in her eyes.

Mr.Mendes then looks up at her and says
"I heard that Emily and no this is not her fault in fact it's yours for insulting her in the first place"

Emily rolls her eyes at him and puts her head down. He then gets up from his seat and taps her desk causing her to lift her head to face him.

"I better not hear another word from either of you for the next 20 minutes"

After 20 minutes of just sitting there in absolute silence he finally tells us we could leave. Emily prances up and walks out the door while I'm right behind her to leave. Before either of us even open the door he says "Ava I'm going to have to keep you a little longer, i wanna speak to you"

"Ha you gotta stay longer than i do" chuckles Emily.

"Leave before I keep you for another hour Matthews" he says and Emily shuts up and walks out.

"So what did you wanna talk to me about" i say so low he could barely hear it since I'm really nervous at what he's about to respond.

"I just wanted to make sure Emily doesn't bully you outside of class" he spoke motioning me to get closer to him.

"Oh, well she doesn't" i say while walking closer to him.

"Are you sure?" He says getting up and leaning on his desk.

"Positive" i answer back a little nervous considering the fact that we're about a foot away from each other.

"Good, um i also wanted to ask you if you could help me out after school. It would count as extra credit if you decide to help me out" he says while putting a little smirk on his face.

"What will i have to do?"I question.

"Not much just whatever i need the day you come" he answered leaning in closer to me.

I nod slowly and gulp hard getting more and more nervous as he starts leaning in closer to my face.

"So what do you say. It'll really bring your grade up" he said while biting on his bottom lip.

"Uhh i-i think i could c-come by tomorrow" i stutter.

"Fantastic" he says leaning back.

"Great So I'll see ya tomorrow after school"

"Mhm see you tomorrow ms.sanders"
