You sit down next to a nice looking kid about your age. You smile. "Hey," you say, "I'm..." you start saying your birth name, but then interrupt yourself. "I want to be called [preferred name], you?" He smiles at you. "I'm Tyler. I mostly go by Ty, though. Why did you get sent here? Sorry if I'm being invasive or anything. I'm genderfluid, if you wanted to know. You probably didn't, but still." You laughed a bit. "I'm non-binary." Tyler grins. "Twinsies." You make small talk until you get to camp. The bus door opens, and you sigh, exasperated. This is going to be a long 8 weeks.
