"Upsilon? Do you know where you are? Do you know why you're here?" a voiced called out to the ninth candidate, in a solid tone that could pierce diamond. The room was black, and nothing around could be soon. Only blackness. "You're here to kill me, correct? I'm probably being held in an interrogation room... but what I don't understand, is why? I know what you people are doing here, so why are you forcing us to do it? what if we dont want this life?" Upsilon responded, beginning to raise their voice in response to the clearly-targetted question.

There was nothing but silence for a few moments. There were no sounds - not even the sounds of breathing from the other party. "You don't have a choice. You have to... save the world." the voice replied back, seeming to hesitate as they spoke. "That's bullshit and you know it! We're just tools to you people! You dont even care for us! All you do is make us test, and disregard our own safety over your staff!" Upsilon, having already lost her temper, was not starting to become livid. Though she was able to maintain her logic in an argument, something told her it wiouldn't make a difference here.

There was a sharp pain in her spine, almost as if something had been inserted there, like a needle or something; it was warm, but it didn't come back out like she expected. The pain from it only intensified as time passed, causing her to let out screams of agony as so writhed in the spot to try and get it out. Until this point, she hadn't thought about her position, but, she had been tied to a chair, almost as if this was the objective the whole time. "So this is it? You're going to kill me, and lose a valuable candidate, is that it?? You're all monsters. You, the director, everyone!"

"Is that so?" the voice called out, seemingly unfazed. "If I'm a monster, then you'll soon be like me too, thanks to that injection I just gave you. "What do you mean?" Upsilon cried out, hoping to get a straightforward answer. "Well, failed candidates, such as yourself, have to be made to continue your work. But you wouldn't do it willingly. Not without the help of a special drug." the voice finally responded after a few seconds.

"You're going to be just like me, Upsilon. And now, there's nothing you can do about it. Just give in. Don't fight it." the voice said, seeming to get closer. After a short time, a young woman popped out of the shadows of the room; her hair was neon green and her eyes were glazed over with silver. "A-Alpha?" Upsilon enquired.
